Michigan Makes Top Three for 5* Jaden Springer
Hey, how about some good news! Jaden Springer - the five-star shooting guard from IMG Academy - named his top three, and we're in it. Memphis and Tennessee are the other finalists, and Florida and North Carolina are out. He's the No. 15 player in the country.
LINK.
Tennessee has 89% of his crystal balls, but the other 11% went to North Carolina, so obviously the ballz people don't know nothin.'

He should watch the Tennessee vs BYU football game. That will make him not want to commit there.

I wouldn't go saying look at last weekends football games to entice right now.....
September 9th, 2019 at 3:32 PM ^
So, we'll end up with a bronze medal in his sweepstakes?
September 9th, 2019 at 3:33 PM ^
Damn, from consistently finishing 2nd to finishing 3rd for top recruits. WTF is Howard even doing!?
September 9th, 2019 at 4:19 PM ^
Fire Howard!
Am doing this right?
September 9th, 2019 at 5:40 PM ^
almost. you forgot 'unacceptable!!!!'
September 9th, 2019 at 8:52 PM ^
I thought that was for football and baseball only.
September 9th, 2019 at 6:49 PM ^
The biggest thing I'm scared about with Howard is that this is just gonna keep happening where we finish 2nd or 3rd for 5 stars then all of the sudden it's signing day and the only commits we have in a class that should have 5 are Zeb Jackson and Jace Howard. I'm worried we're focusing too much on the top dogs that we don't actually have a chance with and fighting the bag men, then all of sudden we have just settle for the scraps near signing day. I'm fine with Howard going after 5 stars but I'd also like him to pull some solid 4 stars who we can have on the roster for more than 1 season and who can build a solid foundation for the future
September 9th, 2019 at 6:59 PM ^
Its way early in the Howard regime but I do share this concern some as well. The number of offers out there validate some of these concerns. If the current crystal ball forecasts rang true for 2020 and 2021, we wouldn't sign anyone other than Jace.

The top dogs keep scheduling visits and putting Michigan on their shortlists. Why do we have "no chance" with them?
September 9th, 2019 at 8:17 PM ^
Because players can still schedule visits and be interested, but then just decide they look somewhere else better
September 9th, 2019 at 8:45 PM ^
Doesn’t mean we have no chance.
September 9th, 2019 at 8:57 PM ^
You can say that about literally any other school. I'll give you credit for not giving the lazy "cuz bag men" answer.
September 9th, 2019 at 9:55 PM ^
I am hoping Howard is our bag man - dude is worth well in excess of $100 million
September 9th, 2019 at 3:45 PM ^
Go Blue!

Looks like we unsurprisingly made the top 4 for Nimari Burnett as well

I feel pretty good sitting in a top 4 with TT, Oregon, and Alabama
September 9th, 2019 at 4:58 PM ^
Nimari is the most important recruit for Michigan in the entire class. There may be better raw physical talent but this kid will make everyone else better-facilitate them reaching their potential.
September 9th, 2019 at 5:37 PM ^
Also because Howard and him somehow have a pre-existing relationship that should lessen the impact of him being completely new to college ball
September 9th, 2019 at 6:51 PM ^
Apparently the Alabama boards are pretty confident about their chances of getting Burnett. Has a good relationship with Oats apparently
September 9th, 2019 at 4:02 PM ^
Cool. Can't wait to lose out to these top kids.
September 9th, 2019 at 5:28 PM ^
While you are waiting you can think of an original comment
September 9th, 2019 at 7:05 PM ^
Leave.
September 9th, 2019 at 4:11 PM ^
Hopefully the staff's visit with him goes well tomorrow and we can reel him in. Itd be nice to get someone to get this ball rolling for Howard. Nimari Burnett has us in top 4, so maybe we can land him.

Was Penny or Lil Penny his AAU coach prior to last year? If so, we're screwed.
September 9th, 2019 at 5:29 PM ^
Bobby maze was lol... Played for Tennessee
September 9th, 2019 at 6:42 PM ^
Gotta love college hoops recruiting.

September 9th, 2019 at 5:42 PM ^
but for that little bald weasel being on the banner, the kid would've committed to us today. now we have to wait, hopefully the bald weasel banner will be dispatched very soon.
September 9th, 2019 at 4:58 PM ^
one of these things does not belong...oh right, that's us.
September 9th, 2019 at 5:31 PM ^
All you Jalens belong to us!!!
/did I do that right???
September 9th, 2019 at 5:54 PM ^
All the Jalens are belong to us?
September 9th, 2019 at 6:44 PM ^
I'm honestly confused how Rick Barnes is pulling these 5*s. He's had 1 or 2 good seasons and literally said he would've left Tennessee for UCLA if they had paid his buy out... oh wait, I know what he's doing: $$$$$
September 9th, 2019 at 6:49 PM ^
Surely not in college hoops!
September 9th, 2019 at 6:55 PM ^
It's also just the SEC in general. We're starting to see random SEC traditionally football teams starting to randomly pull good basketball recruits as well: LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Mizzou
September 9th, 2019 at 7:02 PM ^
I've noticed this as well. SEC wants to dominate in all major sports. You ever notice there is no public fighting amongst the coaches, everyone supports everyone because it's the SEC? Fans even chant SEC SEC at games, it's a flipping cult!
September 9th, 2019 at 7:28 PM ^
Clearly it just means more .
September 9th, 2019 at 7:28 PM ^
We’re a basketball school!
September 9th, 2019 at 7:40 PM ^
How can we match the Tennessee and Memphis briefcases full of cash ?
September 9th, 2019 at 8:09 PM ^
So the ball(z) do lie?
September 10th, 2019 at 5:40 PM ^
Fire ? the Cannon at Howard.
