2019 QB Cade McNamara is Optimistic About Michigan's Future
2019 QB Cade McNamara is feeling good about what he sees shaping up at Michigan. And he had a good time at the BBQ.
Unbelievable weekend in A2. Something different is going on at Michigan. Those who stay will be champions! #Go Blue

SP, thanks for your recent flurry of information. You obviously take time to present good board topics, something that is hard to find this time of year.
Thanks
The press conference and BBQ have provided news.
Meant BIG10 Media day, not press conference.
I can’t belive the Big House field was closed during the BBQ for that soccer game.

Wait...I just realized that. I can't believe they scheduled the BBQ for that weekend. Could they not have done it the weekend before? That soccer game was scheduled a while ago.
I also wonder what recruits thought about that. Could actually be a positive thing. Like, oh btw, our stadium is so awesome it's being used by two of the biggest soccer teams (and hence two of the biggest sports teams) in the world. NBD.
Or would 17-18 year old football players be like, Manchester United, who?
I'm pretty positive that the weekend before was a dead period so no in person recruiting was allowed.
I thought that I saw pics of guys in the Big House from the BBQ but I could easily be wrong. The gates didn't open to public until 3pm so anytime prior to that the Football staff could have taken recruits to see it
Well, "that soccer game" was an event; which meant that the Big House was open.
Plus it was filled with over 100,000 fans which probably seems impressive to potential big-time athletes
Right...I would think that having a buzz around the campus would be a nice atmosphere since there are no students. It's the only time in the off-season you can get the stadium filled as well.

I love Harbaugh’s office.

This post is telling me that McNamara is almost as tall as Harbaugh, which is great news! Arm strength is scout's the #1 most over-rated QB attribute. Looking forward to QB depth

He is as tall as a mid-50 year old coach.
I like Cade McNamara's attitude and schmoozing of recruits -- and that he seems like a great quarterback.
It's normal for a recruit to be optimistic about the future of the team he's committed to.
First thing I thought: "Recruit thinks team he committed to will be good in future"
I'd love to see someone commit to Rutgers.(?)...for football..(??)..and say, "well I hope we win more games while I'm there than they did before I got here...and if we have at least 1 season where we aren't last in the division, then my time here will have been a success."
...or commit to Illinois and say, "I wish this upon myself. There is no other explanation."
I know we are strained for #content right now, but this was my thought exactly when reading the headline. "Recruit choses to go to school that he thinks will be good in the future" not exactly surprising. I only clicked on it because 1) content is lacking :) but more importantly 2) to see how many comments it took for someone else to point this out. Honestly, longer than I expected...
There doesn't seem to be a 49ers helmet in the trophy case. Um........
Great post and content SkyPanther! We need more football content!
Go Blue!
That sign over Harbaugh's shoulder has a familiar ring to it.
Young Mr. McNamara is one terrific, high character young man...way beyond football. He's also intelligent and articulate. Jim Harbaugh places highest value on these traits. This may restrict his pool of candidates and physically weaken his teams but the rest is all good. I've heard this kid being interviewed...OMG!!!...you sign this kid up and coach him up to be the best player he can be...and take your chances.
