Two questions for the cognizant
1) Does anyone know where this game puts Jeremy Gallon on the all time receiving yardage list? I remember that he had a reasonable shot to get as high as maybe two or so.
2) Slightly more challenging question here. I know that Shane Morris has seen the field this year, but was it early enough and little enough that he still has his redshirt, or was it definitely burned? I'm not sure that it necessarily was, but someone here must know the rules better than I do . . .

Morris' redshirt was definitely burned unless there was a medical issue.

He finished 2nd, I think? Last I heard, he was 53 yards shy. I can't remember if he got anything on that last drive.
Morris is burned.

2) His redshirt is burned. If you play, it's gone. The only exception is getting a season-ending injury in the first three (I think three) games, and that didn't happen.

Braylon 2004 1330
Gallon 2013 1284
Gallon finished fourth in career receiving yards

which I'm pretty sure counts for the 'all time' stuff.

Bowl game stats count towards the record, no? The Outback Bowl was how Denard got the NCAA career record for QB rushing yards.
Hope so. Because then he needs just 46 yards.

If it is updated, Gallon only needs 43 yards to pass Amani Toomer on the all-time list and become third there. The company is not bad as it is - Braylon Edwards, Anthony Carter, Amani Toomer, Jeremy Gallon and David Terrell in the top five right now. The next few are Manningham, Roundtree and Streets.

Pretty incredible run by Gallon for his career. He is easily the most game-breaking WR I've seen at U-M since Manningham.

I think he can get 46yds in a bowl game.

Gallon should get plenty of yards, because Michigan will be slotted fairly low in the bowls and should play a very beatable opponent.

Ummmm you do realize Morris already burned his redshirt
November 30th, 2013 at 6:25 PM ^
Correct me if I'm but I'm pretty sure you can redshirt players in seasons other than their freshman years.
November 30th, 2013 at 6:28 PM ^
You are correct.

Might not be a fantastic idea though.

You are correct. I mis-read his post thinking he said this year not next year. MY BAD

He burned the redshirt for this season - could still get one next year

If Gallon has even a below average game he'll set the single season record for receiving yards. I believe he's at 1275 or there abouts (off the top of my head) and Braylon's record is 1330(?).
IIRC, as of now he's 4th all time. I think he's something like 40-50 yards behind Toomer for 3rd place. He doesn't have any shot at catching Braylon for career receiving yards. He's like 1000 yards off that mark.
He's also like 400 yards away from AC, so that's off the table too.
