OT - NCAA Round 1 and NIT Open Thread
Open thread to discuss opening round games in Dayton. North Carolina A&T just narrowly escaped a late game collapse to Liberty.
St. Mary's will be playing Middle Tennessee State in the next game.
Edit: Robert Morris is also up on Kentucky in the second half in the NIT.
Love when underdog wins in post season (except S.D.St)
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. S-E-C! S-E-C! S-E- oh wait.
How bout them mid-majors?
How many major violations does Calipari commit on the way to the locker room.
First ever first round NIT court storming? Hahaha

After that, there may not be a university to come back to. That yahoo fanbase might burn the whole campus to the ground.
Is the entire NIT played on one team's court or do they have a set location for the finals?
for final 4,at least thats how it used to be,Madison Square Garden

Now THAT'S how to rush the court. Nicely done, Bob Morris.

but that's still beautiful.

IME no NIT-related qualifier needed. Robert Morris is allowed to rush the court upon beating Kentucky under any circumstance ever.

but Rupp Arena host the first two rounds of NCAA tourney and couldn't accomodate Kentucky for the NIT game so per NIT rule, they have to travel to Robert Morris for an NIT game.

Wonder what Kentucky's freshman will do regarding the draft. They clearly arent ready for the League, but that hasnt stopped guys before them. Im assuming Calipari has signed another full class for next year, what does he do if some of these guys decide to stay? Or will he 'push' them out?

This is exactly what you will get. Not only will you have no junior or senior leadership, you will also have kids with no interest whatsoever in the educational institution or in the academic side of things. I'd bet a big box of money that if you could take a peek at the actual academic performance of one-and-done kids you'd find a pretty general lack of achievement in the classroom, regardless whether it's basketball or hockey or whatever.
