OT: Big Ten Network, ESPN Gameplan, or ?

I am trying to purchase a football package so that I don't have to miss the Michigan games that are not nationally televised. What do you guys think? I just don't want to have to miss a game. Any help is greatly appreciated. GO BLUE!!!

BTN. Don't know how much it'll cost, but it might not be too much more expensive to go to the games (if you live in Michigan that is), and it's a better experience. EMU, DState, and maybe Pudue won't be on national TV. Everything else should be.

BTN should suffice. I live in Virginia/ACC Country (weak) and between BTN and ESPN/ESPN2/ABC I think I got to see every M game last year. Not that I would have remembered missing one...

I got it when I moved to Florida which was the same year the BTN came out. It showed zero Michigan games, just a bunch of random Big 12 or ACC teams and wasn't in HD (This may have changed by now). I switched to BTN and haven't missed a game since.

It only costs $5/month for Big Ten Network on Comcast in ACC Country. They charge $2 to activate it and $2 to cancel it but it's all very inexpensive. Plus don't forget the online streaming.

Having spent 12 long, brutal years in the DC Metro area, I endured my share of bo-ring ACC games on Raycom (all too often featuring a sad, sad UVa team) instead of the Big Ten football that I love. For that reason, I carried GamePlan via satellite for several years. Howeva, it's no longer necessary. Any U-M game not carried regionally on ABC will be reverse mirrored on ESPN2. Any game not on either of those channels will be on BTN. BTN is available on Dish Network, DirecTV, and Comcast. No need to spend the extra $140 unless you simply can't get enough CFB on Saturdays and really want the out-of-region games (mainly Big XII and Pac 10). There was a good thread recently on this topic; it's worth a read.

I think the only game that doesn't get mirrored is the 8p starts and Michigan has one against Iowa. So if that game is regional that might be the only game you would need Gameplan for but if you have a cable company I think you can purchase gameplan monthly so if this is the case I would wait until you know for sure and if you have to buy it for one game do so or just go to a bar for that game. Other than that BTN all the way.

I get the BTN, plus all the espn channels, as well as the NFL channel. If you can't get the games, the next best thing is to get the replay. Michigan will not be on ABC where I live, and i thought it was mirrored to ESPN 2, but it looks like they are doing the overdrive thing for 5 hours during the michigan game. Additionally, when I did a search for Michigan, the replay of the game will be on sunday on ESPN U, so I am happy with it. I wouldn't buy the gameplan as others have indicated, it was good 2-3 yrs ago, but not anymore. I believe you can buy individual games online via the online gameplan too, something like 4 bucks.
