Most of their staff?

So…

Most of their staff?

So far we have lost Harbaugh, Harbaugh, Minter, S&C coach, and a few analysts.  Even if we lose a couple more that doesn't seem like most.

Some important pieces but definitely not most.

I would say so far we have…

I would say so far we have held onto most of our players.  I will take that over an analyst we didn’t keep.

We seem to be doing better than Alabama and Washington with player retention.

Maybe let the coaching staff come together and not stress over every announcement or rumor.  Then complain afterwards if you don’t like something.

Who knows but I think the…

Who knows but I think the Rooney rule applies to coordinators as well so maybe that is the hold up?

Warde froze them because he…

Warde froze them because he feels the same way about MGoPoints as he does NIL money.

Wouldn't a well run athletic…

Wouldn't a well run athletic department at least post the position immediately just in case the waiver doesn't get granted so we can hire 7 days from Wednesday evening?

If the waiver gets denied and then they post the job and we have to wait 7 days from that day, can we blame Warde?

I don't see the posting on UofM's website as well.

Grew up in Holland and that…

Grew up in Holland and that is a great area. Currently West Ottawa and Zeeland Schools are good.

I am currently in Stevensville/St Joseph area and I would recommend this area as well.  Both the St Joseph Public Schools and the Lakeshore Public Schools are really good and rank high in the state.  Nice part is you are a 2 hour drive from Chicago(or just jump on the amtrak for a day trip, less than an hour from Kalamazoo, 2 hour drive down 94 to Ann Arbor.  If you live on the outskirts you can find some decent priced houses and the closer to Lake Michigan the more expensive.

I know I thought "what are…

I know I thought "what are they doing" but if I was a Washington fan I would have joined in and taken pride in it.

I remember a lot of Michigan fans on this blog the past couple years saying how dumb Mr Brightside was and now it seems like most fans are on board and sing at the top of their lungs.

Every school has their own thing and they can be proud of it.  Unless it is Ohio State or Michigan State no need for us to make fun of it.

I second this. I would…

I second this. I would probably by quite a few of the mgostore shirts if they were available in tall sizes.

the 30-40% chance you are…

the 30-40% chance you are referencing is that the night time chance?

Because on three weather sites I have looked at say 90+% chance of rain all day.  Which is when the tailgating would be happening.

I am good with any uniform…

I am good with any uniform combination this team decides should be worn.  Just win!

For me in the blue upper and…

For me in the blue upper and not including the cost of the extra game compared to last season my increase is only $40 per season ticket.  If you take into account the extra game then I am paying 117.50 extra per season ticket.  Your estimate may be high.  Especially since there are less seats lower than higher due to the shape of the bowl.

Not sure if you are taking…

Not sure if you are taking into account there are 8 home games this coming season as opposed to 7 in 2023.

Since there are 90+ rows in…

Since there are 90+ rows in the Big House my uneducated guess would be:

Rows A - 35 lower

Rows 36 - 70 middle

Rows 70 - top upper

But like you said we should find out in the email in about 3 weeks or so.

Yes that is what the…

Yes that is what the athletic department sent out in the email.  So the red sections are tickets Michigan would have.

I think he is referring to…

I think he is referring to the kids that are fans of FSU not necessarily the current players.  Just guessing though.

While I like The Game being…

While I like The Game being the last regular season game with the new format and teams I think Michigan vs OSU should be moved to end of September or early October.  I am not banging a drum to have this happen but just my thoughts.

First, you do this so there isn't the possibility of back to back games with Ohio State.

Secondly, even if there isn't back to back games against Ohio State, the B1G Championship game will most likely be against a team that could actually win the game.  After playing the intense game the week before having to get back up for another huge game to earn a bye in the playoffs would be hard.  This was the last year of possibly having a non competitive team in the B1G Championship game.

Finally, I believe the first round of the playoffs next year is a week or two after championship weekend so having Ohio State/B1G Championship/Playoff game in a 4 week span would be very hard to stay healthy for all three games. Would prefer to break that up a bit and move OSU earlier in the season.

Please note the 'OR' there. …

Please note the 'OR' there.

you must be a current football season ticket holder or a donor to Michigan Athletics with 500+ points

Basically if you aren't a football season ticket holder for Michigan but have 500+ points then you can still apply.  All season ticket holders can apply for NC tickets.

I don't care for how Gameday…

I don't care for how Gameday covered the Michigan stuff but to be fair the only reason the two chose Iowa was because of their Underdog Picks.  Lee Corso was trying to catch up to Pat for the season and Pat knew this and chose the same.  They didn't really think Iowa would win.  Even Rece who I can't stand recently said after the picks for our game that those three have no hope of getting it correct.

I am all about calling them out on their crap but this isn't one of them.

I was thinking the same…

I was thinking the same thing.  Does Jim like Kevin Warren?  Or does Kevin Warren even like Harbaugh?

Sorry brother.  That was…

Sorry brother.  That was probably from either my wife or myself.  I wasn't missing that tailgate or game for a stupid cold.

I enjoyed College Football…

I enjoyed College Football Final much more back then.

By chance did the email say…

By chance did the email say how many points was the cutoff?

Yeah it was flurries in the…

Yeah it was flurries in the morning and during the first half.  Then steadier snow in the 2nd half and a lot of snow after the game.  I remember knocking about 2 inches of snow off our tailgate tents during tear down 2 hours after the game.  And driving on I-94 to St Joseph the only reason I knew I was on the road was because of the cat eyes and rumble strips.  Ended up taking 4 hours to drive the normal 2 hour trip home.

They may want to come but…

They may want to come but someone has to give them permission to use their property for their set up. UofM probably won’t.  I hope Pioneer and AAGO doesn’t.  If that is the case where would they set up?

I just looked and a room at…

I just looked and a room at the Zeeb exit in Ann Arbor is currently $508/night for Friday and Saturday this weekend.

Maybe $130/night on a non football Saturday.

Depends on which way you are…

Depends on which way you are driving home.  If going west on I-94, for night games I get a room in Jackson at the Holiday Inn Express or the Holiday Inn.  Normally under $150 for the night.

Yes I agree but it would get…

Yes I agree but it would get turned against Harbaugh and say it was sexual assault.

I was thinking the same…

I was thinking the same thing.  Drop the two things at the same time right away so it can’t drip out over two days.

Thanks XM for posting about…

Thanks XM for posting about this.  With all the news about sign stealing it is good to see/read a thread about helping someone else.  Donated and keep fighting Hoek family! Cheers!

Mods - Maybe you can pin this to the top of the front page message board (like snowflake threads) for 24 hours since we seem to have a new message board thread every few minutes right now.

Last time I was there for a…

Last time I was there for a game which was pre covid I found a parking spot that I believe I paid for in or by the Trowbridge Plaza which is on the corner of Trowbridge Rd and South Harrison Rd.  The walk in was easy and had no issues.

I have seen a lot of…

I have seen a lot of comments in the other board posts about this say something along the lines of why is this an issue here but Alabama, Georgia, Clemson etc don't get looked at this hard.

Derrick Crawford who made the statement on twitter and is head of the infractions committee is an Alabama alumnus.  Wonder if that is why the SEC never gets looked at under the same microscope?  Maybe that is also why he doesn't like Harbaugh and is good chasing him back to the NFL.

I brought my two girls in…

I brought my two girls in with me last year (ages 6 & 4) for most games and if I had to use the restroom I would either use the family restroom or bring them into the Men's restroom with me.  My seats are in Section 18 up high so I use the upper concourse under the press box.  Sometimes there is a long line for the family restroom and looking at the line there are no families just single men.  If this was the case I would talk to an event staff person and mention what I saw and they would bring me with the girls right up to the front of the line for me to be next.  Then tell all the guys that a men's bathroom was around the corner.

Since my oldest is now 7 I don't know what I will do when she is 10 and if I will feel comfortable having her come into the men's room.  But I do feel safe in Michigan Stadium just me and the 2 girls.  The event staff is always very helpful and observant.

I am guessing if you are…

I am guessing if you are driving past both often you may be mistaking Lost Dunes for the Dunes Club.  Two different private courses.  Lost Dunes in Bridgman is amazing.  I have been lucky to golf there a few times over the past few years.  The Dunes Club is a private course just north of New Buffalo which is not easy to find.  Just guessing as I have heard many people confuse the two.

What an offer.  You should…

What an offer.  You should take Rubberband up on this offer.  Point O Woods and The Dunes Club are great courses I have yet to be able to get on.

I also agree with his suggestion on Heritage Glenn.  I also loved playing Stoatin Brae.  I like Harbor Shores but I enjoy gimmicky greens.  If you like links courses then Hawks Head north of South Haven is a good course.

Good luck on your trip.

When I turned on my TV…

When I turned on my TV yesterday evening on the home page for Youtube TV it had a banner letting me know of this feature for the tournament so I guess I was chosen.

Black is Team Chaos.  They…

Black is Team Chaos.  They are people without a team or their team has been eliminated from my understanding.  That symbol above Dominican Republic is Chaos and it gets 2-3 new bridges to random territories each day.  Hence why they are in the middle of A&M.

I agree.  Just made me…

I agree.  Just made me wonder because a few people commented on how these deals would be structured to make sure Player X doesn't transfer after one year and not give all money up front.  If they can put something in their NIL deal that if they leave TA&M after one year their deal for further compensation or their NIL deal is null and void then couldn't they do the same with the bowl game?

I wonder if any of these…

I wonder if any of these contracts have any stipulations that they can't opt out of bowl games?

 Brian mentions a compressed…

Brian mentions a compressed tournament schedule in the Eli Brooks injury section.  Maybe I am miss reading what he was saying or missing something else but this tournament schedule while slightly different doesn't appear to be compressed.

Play In games start two days later than normal but all get played in one day instead of two.

First and Second rounds start a day later than normal.

The Sweet Sixteen/Elite 8 games start 2 days later than normal.

Between the Elite 8 and Final 4 games it appears to be 2 days less than normal so maybe that is the compression of the schedule?

NO!

NO!

Probably sometime after they…

Probably sometime after they release the remainder of the hockey schedule . . . probably not the answer you were looking for.

I will renew my tickets.  I…

I will renew my tickets.  I am not happy about the prices nor the product on the field. The tailgate is the reason because we host about 60-80+ people per home game.  While I have enjoyed being home and doing other things on gamedays I miss my friends that I only get to see 6-8 times a year during tailgates.

So to me it is more about the social event surrounding the game.

Also my 4 year old daughter keeps asking when she gets to go to a football game again so excited to be able to bring her to more games next year.

It would be the ultimate…

It would be the ultimate troll of Nebraska if the Big Ten let Purdue schedule a non conference game this weekend to make up for this cancelled game.

Not sure if you really care…

Not sure if you really care but that contribution of $150 is instead of the PSC the first year you get tickets.

Most seasons (for my blue section seats section 18) if you add up the face value printed on the season tickets for the entire season it has been almost the same amount as if you add what you paid for the tickets plus the personal seat donation.

I have debated giving up my seats the past couple years due to price and on field performance but I just can't pull that trigger.  I have been to every home game but 4 since 1997.

POS BANG thread before…

POS BANG thread before Friday? Count me in.

Not defending this in any…

Not defending this in any way because it was really dumb.  But guessing it wasn't the entire fraternity making a decision to make/hang that banner.   I would guess that it was 4-6 guys making the banner and hanging it without others having prior knowledge.
