M Hockey TV Schedule announced; 23 guaranteed games to be broadcast
Kind of strange the exhibitions will be broadcast and not the Frozen Apple at Madison Sqaure Garden. I'm sure a network will pick it up closer to gametime.
NOTE: Xfinity TV is formerly Comcast TV. It is channel 900 in Ann Arbor on Comcast.

They really need to set up online streaming or something for games
October 1st, 2012 at 5:29 PM ^
I wish they could air the games on a channel other than Comcast Sports Network. Watching them on there reminds me of watching a bad local city council meeting.

Better than nothing. I'd be happy just to have access to Comcast.

"I'd be happy just to have access to Comcast"
That's something I've never heard before

"Watching them on there reminds me of watching a bad local city council meeting."
As an elected local offcial, in all honesty, I must agree with this statement.

Unfortunately, just because the game is getting broadcast, it doesn't guarantee that fans get to view them. That was the biggest downer of the brief dalliance I had with UVerse, U of M hockey was NEVER on TV.

aka Comcast Ch 900 in A2.

Channel 900!? How can you possibly remember 900 channels? Why do you need 900 channels?

Your television is built into a large mahogany wood cabinet, isn't it?

the USCHO poll came out today and Michigan is #3 here as well with 3 first place votes of 50. BC got 35 and Minnesota had 12
Other CCHA teams
#9 Miami Fighting Rico's
#10 Western
#11 Ferris
#14 Notre Dame
#16 MSU (or FYS)
Ohio, Lake State, and Northern also received votes
So everyone but AK Fairbanks and Bowling Green received some votes

Well, the CCHA will have one more good season before it's quick slide into mediocrity. I'd feel worse about this except they've completely screwed with Michigan's home schedule again.
Of our 17 home games (non exhibition / playoff), we play 11 of them before the holidays, we only play on Saturday 4 times total. We have 2 games on Thursday night. 1 game on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and 1 game on Tuesday. And February, during the home stretch for the conference title is pretty much all on the road for us.
Hunwick 2nd team All-CCHA and now this bullshit home schedule? Good riddance CCHA.

Only three games on BTN? Seems very low for what I would imagine would be a decent ratings for the network.
October 1st, 2012 at 6:04 PM ^
will they all be broadcast on the BTN next year?
October 1st, 2012 at 6:17 PM ^
Probably not since the a-holes at BTN don't give a damn about hockey. Seriously. They don't even respect it enough to broadcast games live at the arenas. Several Michigan games last year, the commentators were working from the broadcast cameras in their Chicago studios.
Most likely they'll just throw most of the games on BTN.com and make everyone pay for it. I hope to God that isn't the case and FSN, XTV and others can get many games. BTN has horrid commentary, their "experts" can't even get the names of the CCHA teams right. (For example, for 2 periods against northern last year they were abbreviated as UNM on the screen.....).
I don't care if XTV isn't HD, I will take an entire season on there. Commentary is great and you gotta love that feeling of watching a public access network with all local commercials, and creepy ads for local events where you can see the inexperienced person is reading off a title card. Provides great humor during tense games.

Wish I had Comcast or CBS Sports Network....oh well. Don't mind listening to the radio broadcast.
October 1st, 2012 at 6:29 PM ^
Do you listen online? If so, what feed?
October 1st, 2012 at 7:59 PM ^
Yep. Mgoblue.com usually has every game. Feed is usually pretty consistent.
If Michigan's athletic website doesn't have a feed, sometimes the opponent's do.

Time to make it a good last year in the CCHA

I better get a refund then for my overpriced seats I bought then. I spent twice than what I would have if the GLI was at JLA.

Is there any way to access Comcast Sports ch. 900 from other providers/online, etc.?
To the best of my knoweldge, nobody carries that other than Comcast in the metro Detroit area.
Desperately want to watch the M road games on TV, but not enough to leave DirecTV for Comcast.

Isn all these games played under the better surveillance and security?
