Mathis down to 10 and possibly 5 by this week
Upland California 5 Star DE has narrowed his list today to top 10 and Possibly 5 by the end of next week.
Top 10 - Michigan, Nebraska, Washington, USC, UCLA, Alabama, Miami, Texas A&M, Arizona St, and Tennessee
I see it Coming down to
Michigan, Nebraska, SC, UCLA, Washington and maybe Alabama
Does he have a timetable perhaps of when he is going to decide or is that not known?
looks like the Army All American Game
Sounds like Jan 5th but you never know
Ignore this guy. He's committed once, almost committed twice more, has a TOP THREE of Washington, Nebraska and Michigan, and is deciding sometime during the next presidential term.
Michigan will be full on scholarship with placeholders, fair catch specialists, and kickoff tee retrievers by then anyways.
/pours a little out
Does he actually have offers from all of those schools? That's pretty impressive.
It's amazing that we're having a recruiting season in which we have, and will continue to have to turn away such highly sought after recruits.
We will have our 2015 class wrapped up
Also of relevance, Michigan made the top 7 for 5 star WR Robert Foster along with OSU, Pitt, Alabama, Oregon, USC and MSU.
I'd rather hold out for Laquon, someone who we've been recruiting for a while and developed a strong relationship with.
I'd love to add this guy to the class, but idk how much we can really take from him naming a top list this early. He seems to get excited very easily. Hopefully he makes a visit the day before signing day (if that's even allowed)
This kids going to Washington...book it.
/hopes wrong and he becomes our 2012 signing day suprise.
with Su'a Cravens thread?
If I'm Hoke, I'm setting up a meeting with Mr. Mathis at 10pm on the last day in late January that you can recruit/have in-home visits. Committed or not.
I'm pretty sure we'll be full by then...
I honestly think we're just going to be full by the time this kid decides. I still have no idea why we offered a long-snapper a full ride unless its a conditional scholarship, but right now, we've got 3 spots left. One's being saved for Laquon, another for (hopefully) Derrick Green or another RB anyway, and then the last for likely the best DE or DB we can get, or I guess whoever commits first.
I'd love to get him, as he sounds like a great talent, but I see Nebraska, Washington, or USC in his future.
Are chances of getting him are slim to none. Goodbye:Joe Mathis. This class still needs a WR (Laquon) and a DB (Fuller or McQuay).
i'll bet his top ten changes the next time he visits a school
