OT: Wednesday Night NHL Playoffs Thread
Penguins at Flyers at 7:30
Rangers at Senators at 7:30
Canucks at Kings at 10:00
These playoffs have been nuts. The two teams that most people thought would make the finals are the only two teams yet to win a playoff game and both can be eliminated tonight. I have been watching the battle of Pennsylvania and it looks like the same game as usual. Undisciplined play and awful goaltending have made this game 3-2 Flyers still in the first. What the heck happened to Pittsburgh?
As I'm typing, the Penguins score again. 3-3.

I can't even begin to imagine how demoralizing it would be to be a Canucks fan after the last couple years.
There's really no excuse for getting swept out by an 8 seed, Daniel Sedin or not.

Interesting factoid: an 8 has never swept a 1. In fact, an 8 has never been up 3-0 on a 1, either.

I can say I can imagine what it is like, and it sucks. At least the Canucks are getting to the playoffs.

The intermission music was catchy. I feel like I can run through a wall. A wall of stacked boxes.

Yes...the prospect of a 4-0 series shutout is attractive. Plus an American team is playing a Western Hemisphere country that calls its states "provinces".

Tie game! Vancouver PP tastes blood.

Holy crap is this a different team with Daniel Sedin. For all the criticism of his play in the playoffs, his absence may have done more to prove his worth than anything ever could (see Manning, Peyton).
Is it really that surprising that they're a different team with the 2011 NHL scoring champion back on the ice? Losing players that good creates a domino effect all the way down the roster. I don't know if they will win this series but i think they'll at least take one more game from LA.
