Taking the short drive over from Springfield, IL on a bus with 20 or so people (only about 4 UM fans though). Two years ago was the miserable I have been in a while leaving a CFB game.
Anyone have 2-4 tickets in the Michigan section that they have for sale? Planned on scalping before the game, and will Illinois losing 3 straight, prices are dropping fast (I hope). But I would love to sit in the Michigan section if possible.
I'll post me email if anyone has tickets. Thanks!

I bought 4 for Illinois about 2 weeks ago.

$65 each?

I prefer to be in the Michigan section ... and yep that costs a little more. But I needed 4 together which is tough to find on the street.

I'm from one town over from you! That's not where I'll be driving from, though.

You are in the minority, sir. I don't hate noon games as much as some but I do prefer the later start.
October 31st, 2011 at 9:01 PM ^
That's just cruel.

For us fans that go to the games, noon starts KILL the opportunity for a great tailgate (especially since I have over a 2 hour drive to AA). I'm staying about an hour away for Iowa and Illinois ... so that helps a tiny bit, but still we have had only one 3:30 start this year and that was the opener.

last week all Big Ten November games have to be noon or 3:30 start times. I did not know that no night games are aloud.
October 31st, 2011 at 9:15 PM ^
It's strange how the B1G night games in November are silent. They might as well just make all B1G teams play at 12 or 3:30 in November...seeing as it's really tough to maintain silence at night.

Subtle enough to where he doesn't realize he's being insulted.

That's the best spelling of Wisconsin ever, Woscpmsom.
EDIT: Awww, you edited it. Too bad. I saved it.

HAHA...can't blame me. It's Woscpmsom's fault.

I think he was going for that tough ghetto ... aka Wiscompton

I bet there is, as matter of fact Jerry Kill probably gonna throw bombs all day to the endzone as soon as the Offense cross the 50 yard line.

Thank the football gods. Im flying to Ireland but I'll still catch the game. Woohoo
October 31st, 2011 at 9:13 PM ^
Who cares if it starts at noon when it's an away game? I just don't like noon games when they're home.
October 31st, 2011 at 10:24 PM ^
It would be just like a home game.
October 31st, 2011 at 9:16 PM ^
gahhh I hate noon games! Nov. 19 better be 3:30
October 31st, 2011 at 9:56 PM ^
Not gonna happen.

IDK, it's really a toss up, particularly if we win this week. Both OSU-PSU and UM-NU are crucial for their respective divisions, both involve the 4 biggest fan bases in the conference. Penn State and OSU have been on ABC a lot this year in the 330 slot. Does that mean those teams draw higher ratings? Or does that mean the network's likely to go another way?
If the networks could make their choices one week ahead, that would certainly make things much more clear, as Nebraska and PSU play the week before. If PSU wins, their game against OSU would allow PSU to clinch their division; if nebraska wins, it would potentially set up a 9-1/9-1 showdown. But they have to chose 12 days before, so they have to guess.

is "old news" regardless of the "impact" of the game.
Nebraska v. Michigan is much sexier and should get the 3:30 kickoff (especially if both teams come in at 9 - 1).

Being in the central time zone, I'm split on 11 am kick offs.
Pro's: I don't have to be nervous and irratable all day waiting for kickoff (I tend to get obsessive and overthink), and I get to start drinking before noon.
Con: I start drinking before noon, fall asleep at 4, and don't get anything else done.
Pro's have it! Bring on the early kickoffs!
October 31st, 2011 at 9:32 PM ^
So where are the cons?
October 31st, 2011 at 10:08 PM ^
but in central time we get to see a whole hour of game before those eastern folks do!

Someone at ESPN messed up. That page now shows TBA. I trust mgoblue more.

All it means is that the Friday night drinking is cut short so that the Saturday morning drinking can begin earlier.

I see a lot of evening kick offs. They are a lot of fun to watch because of the atmosphere of the stadium... It would be fun to see more night games in the big 10 but I understand the reasons why not.
October 31st, 2011 at 10:56 PM ^
Avoids 3:30 - I hate 3:30. Always seems like the noon game runs over and you miss kickoff and part of the game. Noon is safe and night is awesome.
October 31st, 2011 at 10:59 PM ^
... But I'm mostly just glad I don't live out west.
October 31st, 2011 at 11:31 PM ^
I used to think I would hate that too, but you wanna know the truth? It fucking rocks. A part of me will always and forever miss Pacific Time. You wake up on Saturday and Sunday and the games are on. The night games? 5:00 in the evening, also known as "perfect time to start hitting the bars or hosting your party." You don't have to stay up til stupid hours to watch Monday Night Football or the NHL playoffs. The Tigers and Wings and Pistons are on right when you come home from work.
I suppose if one can't be arsed to get out of bed before the crack of noon, it would be a problem. But 9 or 10 AM is a perfectly reasonable time to sleep in until. I guess I would hate actually going to a football game that began at 9 AM, but obviously that is not even a possibility.
