OT: USA v. Mexico Gold Cup Final open thread

Submitted by Genzilla on

At 9:00 PM (ET) the US soccer team takes on Mexico in the Gold Cup Final.  These 2 teams do not like each other.  They're playing for pride, for the regional championship, and most importantly, they're playing for a berth in the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil.

If you only get interested in soccer every 4 years for the World Cup, tune in tonight, because it will be that kind of atmosphere in the Rose Bowl.

The game can be seen on Fox Soccer and Univision.

Lichaj moves to RB and Bornstein to LB.  Could make things interesting.  Bornstein plays in Mexico, so he should be used to their style of play.

Ok I know last game was quick to jump back onto this kids bandwagon, but more solid play so far, and a great bending corner... Really looking like he has matured the past 2+ seasons since he last saw National Team time.

Beautiful give and go for the goal.  Donovan-Dempsey-Donovan.  What we need from the two best U.S. players.  Adu also helps start the play, nice work all around.

DAMN!  That was all too typical of our defense getting caught out.  Can;t let that happen again guys.  Chicharito is just too dangerous.  Looks like this'll be a wild one.
