Another pre-game distraction: Mensa workout quiz
One of my friends sent me a link to this. It's a quiz put out by Mensa, which is the International High IQ Society. Given that this board seems to be reasonably intelligent, I figured people may enjoy it. My score was 26/30.

24, ill take it

Not bad, given that I suck at scrambeled words...

27, counted squares wrong and my engligh could use some work. wtf is banalities? great use of time, thanks.

Banalities = Freep sports section on most days

I missed all of the "which letter/number comes next" questions. Apparently smart people realize that it is two separate lists/functions. I didn't know what the fuck was going on.

Choked on the per-page typing thing, which is lame. "banalities" -- bite me.
But I found out I'm qualified for Mensa based on my SAT score from 1986 LOL

I only got 1 right

BANALITIES?
BANALTIES lol

I got 26/30 but should have had 27 because I misread one of the questions.

"Candidates for membership of Mensa must achieve a score at or above the 98th percentile on a standard test of intelligence (a score that is greater than that achieved by 98 percent of the general population taking the test)."
If they have to define a percentile, then the person probably should not be on the mensa website.
Said the guy who thinks a reading mistake shouldn't count against him ;-)
we know Mcfarlin isn't that smart
What's the point of lying on here?
...but I aced that shit.
No point at all,
I got a 30
I missed banalities.
25... Never would have guessed BANALITIES as the one other word to come from INSATIABLE
Banalities, parachute, and the CARD BOX CODE BAG HASTE. I guessed gift knowing that it wouldn't work for the haste...
when it gave me my score (a lowly 22) it didn't have the answer to this one what is it?
post
Got a 31
The scrambled words are tough. I could take the whole 30 mins on those 2 questions and wonder if I would have gotten there.
27
You just have to try differet prefixes and suffixes
eventually i tried para which immediately made parachute obvious
for insatiable, once i tried the ities ending, banal was obvious
And with that little trick, I'm going to pave my way to the 'Jumble' hall of fame. Thank you much.
Not bad for an EMU. The "How many sevens...?" question is the only one I'm embarassed about.
It's obvious who was studying and who was playing football/chasing women.
Well, I'm not sure this test is anything where studying would've helped. It mainly tests what your brain is capable of.
banalities? aaaaargh
27 between cursing during the Michigan game...we don't have any banalities in Canada.
