02/13/2018 - 12:37pm Very glad

Very glad I'm not the only guy out there humming Black Rock or Love and Memories every time I see that.

So Russian athletes take steroids, but Olympic Athletes from Russia are clean?  Call me crazy but I don't see the difference.

07/29/2017 - 2:57pm I'm in

Thanks for the invite. My team is Harbaugh's Khakis

11/06/2016 - 9:43pm Offense is good too! #hottake

I noticed that Wisconsin, Colorado, and Penn State are ranked 3rd, 8th, and 15th respectively in Def S&P+ and we put up 14, 45, and 49 points in those games.  While the defense gets the headlines, the offense is growing and getting more and more efficient.

Beat Iowa!

09/09/2016 - 8:54am OL pull on pass play

I don't know about you, but I am completely enamored with the second Chesson post play.  Not because of Speight's delivery. But becuase I watched Kalis pull to the left side just to pass pro.

While I know that is nothing new to football.  It is really new for this fan having watched the last several years of OL play.  The mere fact that the coaching staff implements subtle things like that shows me we have the right staff for championship runs.

And the progress the players are making is awesome to see.  A guard pulling on a pass play. I love it.

Great job by all!

Go Blue!

09/07/2016 - 8:36pm 52-0 Go Blue

08/18/2016 - 5:18am Not despicable

I can't agree with your thought process that if I don't root for OSU and MSU to fail, that I am a despicable excuse for a fan.  That's precisely why I do have hatred for Sparty fans. They take more joy in Michigan losses than in their own victories.

While the "This is Michigan, fergodsakes" narrative continues to run it's course.  I think on this topic, it is true.  No, I won't be cheering for OSU and State to win, but I also won't be overjoyed if they do.  Because, while I will be keeping one eye on those games, my focus will be on cheering for Michigan.

And I want State to be 8-0 when we roll into EL.  Beating a 4-4 State team is fun, but no where near as enjoyable as a championship crushing defeat.  We could lose to them whether they are 8-0 or 0-8.  Their schedule, for my cheering decisions, doesn't matter.

Michigan has to win their games to make the playoff.  Not need other teams to lose.  Yes, having some cushion is nice.  But watching OSU lose to Oklahoma and then run through the B1G undefeated is a real possibility.  And where does that leave our 11-1 MIchigan team?  On the outside of the playoffs.

But like you, I also don't see any guaranteed wins, as big as the point spread may be for Hawaii and UCF.  I'm going to root like hell all year no matter what.

Go Blue!

03/25/2016 - 9:11pm Good omen though

Even though they lost I saw on Twitter that the last time the girls lost a B1G opener at home was in 2005.  And well, that season ended rather well.

Here's to good omens.

03/14/2016 - 10:07am This right here!

The committee has to pick 34 at-large teams and then seed and slot 68 different teams in different areas of the country.  I, by no means think they did a great job, but I and the committee will never be perfect.  If you believe that Hollis has that much control, then how did we even get into the tournament?

For the same reasons that we were all joking 11W and RCMB about how much they talked about Harbaugh/Signing of the Stars and how much the SEC was doing to prevent the IMG spring practices, we are doing the same thing here.

I'm proud of the way the team hung with Indiana and ultimately secured a spot in the Big Dance.  I'd much rather spend the next couple of days talking about how if we can get a couple more shots to fall, we could win a few games and maybe make it to the second weekend and surprise even the fans on this board

03/07/2016 - 3:57pm Jerseys too?

Have the Tigers ever done or have they ever thought about doing the university color scheme with jerseys too?  There probably isn't much leeway in regards to MLB's licenseing policies but a maize and blue script Tigers jersey would look pretty sweet I bet.

It seems that the farthest MLB gets from standard colors is the pink for breast cancer awareness.

02/13/2016 - 12:27pm Make that 2-under after 2

You can't birdie them all if you don't birdie the first 2!!

Go low Harbs!!

02/13/2016 - 12:22pm no water filter?

Or maybe he just doesn't use a Brita water filter.

Not trying to offend anyone- I realize that there are real people with real water problems in MI.

02/08/2016 - 4:53pm I realize

I realize that each year we have a finite number of scholarships to offer recruits.  But wouldn't the number 1 ranked player have a standing offer?  True, he may not be Michigan's #1 ranked player but Moses is still highly regarded at a position of need.  Any harm to sending out offers to the top 5 every year?  The worst thing that can happen is they all accept right?

01/21/2016 - 2:38am I wonder if the Oklahoma

I wonder if the Oklahoma blogs are going crazy and saying that Daniels has no integrity!  He committed to the program, now just 2 short weeks before NSD, he has opened up his recruitment.  Oklahoma now has to "scramble" to find a suitable replacement as they were probably led to believe that he was excited about being a sooner.   Is anyone crying for them?

I do feel bad for Swenson. He seems like a nice kid who will survive and thrive in the world. But i've never been recruited so I don't know what goes on in living rooms across the country everyday.

01/21/2016 - 2:02am I think your second paragraph

I think your second paragraph sums it up to a T for some of us.  I know I've used the, "but at least at Michigan we graduate and don't bend the rules and do it the right way." argument.   Cutler Martin clearly sucker punched a buckeye after the whistle.  Could have done some serious injury. And hardly no one was on that post talking about the heinus crime that he did or did not commit.  Did the buckeye deserve it? Maybe. But that wasn't exactly a good look either.

01/21/2016 - 1:42am Rationality

I applaud your rationalitly sir, especially this late in the evening.

Ya, it sucks that it happened.  But it did, and if this is the worse thing that Harbaugh has done, or will do, during his tenure at Michigan, then I think we will be just fine in the long run.  I think that because Harbaugh has been on fire and in the press everyday for the last 12 months, majority of that time winning on and off the field, that this event has blown up.

If what Swenson says turns out to be completely true, then I will be disappointed in Harbaugh and his staff.  But, I will still support the team, and believe Harbaugh is still the right coach.

01/21/2016 - 1:22am I think Duncan Robinson might

I think Duncan Robinson might like a few words with you regarding the talent level at a D3 school and the ability to transition.

At least for me, it sounds like you are referring to a D2 or D3 option as low grade or beneath him.

01/21/2016 - 12:51am If I'm not mistaken, no

If I'm not mistaken, no school offers 4 year schollys correct?  The scholorship is only for 1 year and then renewed for each subsequent year.  I thought I read/heard that somewhere.

01/21/2016 - 12:16am Looking forward to alot of CBB this weekend in Charlottesville

Good slate of games to get snowed in with.  Hopefully I can fulfill my dad duties in the morning and watch some good hoops in the afternoon.  Of course, if we lose power.... all bets are off

01/16/2016 - 2:08am 2 L

01/07/2016 - 2:48am Keep their heads ringin'

Keep their heads ringin'

- Dr. Dre is just a bit newer than Avon and more up my alley

12/30/2015 - 10:47pm Which JH?

Does Jay have that much trust from Papa Jim to pull guys from other position groups?

12/30/2015 - 10:44pm That thought excites me

I haven't been this excited for that much beef since I filled up my deep freezer last winter.  Perhaps throw De'Veon at FB and K. Walker at tailback at look out B1G!

10/24/2015 - 10:09am Congrats!  That is some

Congrats!  That is some serious long term calendar watch!  I tried to plan around a season.  You managed to plan around the bye week. Kudos!

10/24/2015 - 10:01am It sounds like the defense

It sounds like the defense can use some serious stability.  But I like the fact that we responding 4 times to them scoring.  That shows some fight and firepower.  Of course, if we don't allow them to score 5 times each game that would also help.

10/24/2015 - 9:55am Is Mel Pearson still at

Is Mel Pearson still at Michigan Tech?  As an alum there, would he even think twice about coming to UM?

10/24/2015 - 9:47am win/win

If she stays the night, you win.  If she leaves, you still got a full belly and kept it under $10.  Win Win in my book.  Well played sir!

10/24/2015 - 9:35am great fit

Sounds like he is another great fit + semi-hidden gem that JB and his staff got and are eager to get their hands on.  (definitely not in the Rutgers Coach kind of way)

10/11/2015 - 10:01am Ross suspension

I was just curious if Harbaugh was asked about the targeting penalty, and subsequent upholding of said targeting penalty?  The announcers said on BTN that Ross is gone for the first half of the MSU game.  Can the B1G powers that be overturn the suspension??  It seemed a bit overzealous on the ref side since they already called but overturned the targeting call on Northwestern.

07/15/2015 - 2:24pm Bodo's and Spudnuts

Definitely 2nd Bodo's Bagels!  They have 3 locations I believe now so you should't be too far from any of them.  Another breakfast spot is Spudnuts Doughnuts.  Made from potatoes, hence the name and they usually have a line out the door starting at 6am.  But bring cash, no CC type of place.
