He wouldn't have any buyers on Stock X if they have "52" on them is my point. The shoes get sent physically to Stock X and an actual human inspects them. Shoes with writing on them would be rejected and could not be sold in the Stock X Marketplace. Stock X is not ebay. You can't submit your own picture of the shoes on the listing. You can't cover anything up with post-it notes.
If the athletic department actually writes the players numbers on the Jordans and the boxes, then the shoes are no longer considered "dead stock" (or "new" in after-market sneaker language). This means that no player-issued shoes could be sold on the Stock X marketplace because Stock X only sells dead stock sneakers. They have an extensive authentication process and "#52" or anything else written on sneakers would not meet the terms of service and would not be eligible for sale on the Stock X marketplace. This does not eliminate the other websites (ebay, craiglist, facebook marketplace, etc.) but I can promise you that if the UM process is sharpies on the Jordans, not one pair that was issued to a player was sold on Stock X.

The (Award Winning) UM Alumni Association of Richmond meets at Gus' and this is (BY FAR) the best public spot in town for watching the game and is the only "true" UM bar. It is also a Florida Gators and VCU bar and maybe even more. Two important things for people to note to guarantee a spot with the group and to help the restaurant properly staff they ask that you send a quick RSVP to [email protected] by 6pm on Wednesday, September 23. Also there is a canned food drive happening vs. the other (lesser) alumi associations in town so bring a canned food donation (or $$$$) if you are so inclined. If you are not an alumni don't worry. They are cool with regular Michigan fans (like myself, ((Liberty '09 (Doh!))) hanging out and participating, just try to RSVP and bring some canned food and they will embrace you and invite you back. If you don't get the chance to RSVP and want to go anyway, that is totally cool, just know that you do not have a reserved seat and that you might be the one person creepily hovering behind the more reponsible people constanty apologizing to the servers as they politely say "excuse me" before/during/after each snap of the ball. Quick Reddit tutorial. Sign up and create a username. Reddit assigns you a group of subreddits (a subreddit is basically a message board based around a specific topic or thing for people to share appropriate links, comments, pictures, videos, etc., while adhering to a strict (enforced by mods) set of self-imposed rules that govern each subreddit )
Reddit automatically assigns you a certain amount of subreddits like r/atheism or r/fantasybaseball. The lower case "r" and the slash basically are there to show you which subreddit a particular post originated from. Most of the subreddits Reddit will assign you you will probably not be interested in. Just find the settings and unsubscribe to the subreddits you don't want and subscribe to the subreddits you are interested in.
Now that you have everything set up the way you want it, when you login, your personalized feed based on the subreddits you have chosen will appear in an easy to read list. If you have made it this far, you can figure out the upvotes and karma part fairly easily. I urge everyone to try it at least once. Aside from mgoblog Reddit is where I spend most of my internet time.

Really does suck. Other than the legit #5 Boise St. game last year they have not exactly set out to schedule a challenging NC schedule going all the way back to the mid 00's. Georgia fiends would argue that the SEC is so hard that they shouldn't have to scedule badass NC opponents, but at least we expect Notre Dame to get better at some point with all of their recruiting success and their Touchdown Jesus and their Mike Golic and whatnot.
