Thought this was sarcastic because that’s all he does. I think I may miss hero ball (Irvin) and I feel dirty saying that.

11/07/2017 - 2:36pm I enjoyed that you bet first

And asked questions later. The gut says cover. I say cover. Good luck and Go Blue!

11/06/2017 - 1:28pm So, to defend his point

He never claimed "more well rounded than Barkley" just "very well rounded". There is no arguing Barkley is more of a receiving threat than Higdon at this time, but with a couple years to grow before the NFL that Barkley does not have, Higdon could certainly still make a big splash in the NFL .

10/30/2017 - 7:31am Why?

Don't people get this?!? Don't use the argument if you haven't been doing it either!! Rant over - I'll let myself down :-)

10/25/2017 - 5:02pm Thoughts and prayers

I wish your family all the best, even you Brutus

10/25/2017 - 5:00pm Classy move

Troll on with your heart and all that stuff.

10/25/2017 - 4:53pm I give tiebreaker to Rich Rod

MSU is not great. PSU is pretty damn good.

However, from an expectations standpoint, RichRod is doing far better with Zona.

I want to add I'm perfectly happy with Harbaugh in charge, just pointing out Arizona probably feels good about 5-2....we don't.

10/21/2017 - 11:02pm I'll take the bait on negs

It's awful. Everything is broken. I, a homer, am also a realist. I'll say all the right things before a game and feel positive but this week never felt right. Had all the makings of disaster. I hope it doesn't ALL burn to the ground

10/21/2017 - 10:30pm play action on 4th and 11?!??!

What in the holy fucking fuck

10/09/2017 - 3:51pm Oops, question for WD.

10/09/2017 - 3:50pm Question for OP

Where do you research records for teams and officials in their games? Always been intrigued by this stat and the psychology behind it.

10/09/2017 - 3:44pm The only wins...

..are against bad teams..

so maybe Michigan's broken football program just wasn't that good in these games?

Trust me, I swore at this douche of an official a few times in this game (sometimes not even his fault, but he represents the entire crew) but he isn't the reason we lost.

Think about it, suggesting he is the reason we lost is the equivalent of suggesting that him making different calls would be the reason Michigan won. None of us want that. Play better and win boys.

09/09/2017 - 6:17pm Couldn't Agree More

I was pro "rawk music" back in the 2011 under the lights game most notably. I could be wrong but that felt like the starting point of it. It has a lot of potential and there are plenty of songs/beats/vibes that appeal to ALL generations.

With that being said, the music played today was horrendous. I do not support it any longer if that is the intended direction them please, stop!

08/20/2017 - 6:11pm This will be a Negative Recruiters dream

Not that Michigan ever has to worry about a battle with IU....but perhaps Northwestern or Purdue would easily scoop an athlete on the sheer premise that they understand the rules. Just wow...

08/05/2017 - 10:12am I don't see it that way...

I think he is saying this happens to many people at that age, football or otherwise. And in some ways I agree. There are a ton of professions that pay well but ruin the body. I think honestly it's a part of life. If this story was moving you'd have to be moved by all elderly stories of physical inertness. Football aside, life happens to the body.

07/03/2017 - 9:49am a friend...

and not to you, correct?

06/28/2017 - 6:47am Huh?

You say something.

05/30/2017 - 2:05pm Update to Story

Tiger Woods apparently took not one but TWO breathalyzer tests. Each test recorded a .000 reading. For those who didn't believe the prescription story, it may hold water. Curious to hear what he was actually on and if it was a situation of carelessness or a situation of a bad luck mixture that knocked him out. He was found asleep in the car and what I found craziest, was able to recite the national anthem backwards...I can't do that sober...

05/30/2017 - 6:32am Well that's aggressive and you should know it

I'm not celebrating his actions but 3 drinks does not turn you into a crazed lunatic behind the wheel. I understand "buzzed driving is drunk driving" as well but any sane person also knows alcohol hits everyone differently. Some people become children with no sense at all, some people want to fight everyone in the room, some become extremely depressed, and then you've got some who drink 5 or 6 and you can't even can't put a set number on each person and put them in a room and know the outcome. It just doesn't happen. I get that this is sensitive to some for experiences they've had so I'm trying to tread lightly but probably should not have tread at all. Apologies to anyone this offended.

05/29/2017 - 6:19pm Very sorry to hear this story

I hate hearing situations like this. Awful for so many people and one selfish person gets to walk away from it all. With that being said, 120mph, lights off, probably was a super drunk driver. I don't like speculation but if he was booked at 7:18 and released by 10:50 then he was not super drunk. There are levels of drunk driving, and for good reason, as some people can ruin other people's lives. As easy as it is to get pissed at Tiger here for being dumb, until details are released, 3 hours in jail probably means he was a dumb buzzed driver who got greedy.

05/26/2017 - 10:32am MaxPreps Career stats wrong

278/533 (52.15%) 3564 yds 39td/18int

IIRC, the system used wasn't necessarily built for a quarterback of his skill level. I think he was also injured for most of his senior year which hurt these numbers as well.

Either way, his hype was definitely generated from his camp performances and elite arm strength, plus size. I wish him the best at CMU and hope he can put his couple years of Harbaugh tutelage to good use.

04/28/2017 - 6:53am First round reach relevant here?

I'm not saying this post is eye opening and crazy, but I think "first round reach" is a bit irrelevant. OK,maybe some of these guys should have slid to round 2 or 3...they're still an NFL talent. I've heard that translates well to the college game. No?

Times this post would be irrelevant...LB's if we had enough, there is no need to offer to all of them. Anytime a team is loaded at a position, this is going to happen. We had 5* Shane Morris for this class, so all the QB attention would be irrelevant. Shane was recruited with hopes of being one of these first rounders I'm sure.

Swing and a miss.

04/07/2017 - 8:06pm Gator tail...

Delicious...if cooked right.

03/30/2017 - 12:42pm So it's the top 25 preseason poll?

All of these polls/rankings can be wildly inaccurate. But they are intended to stir interest, particularly out of season. I approve.

03/20/2017 - 9:49am Haha. Loved this.

+1. Mobile, so this is all I can offer.

03/19/2017 - 5:21pm Annoying Question Maybe...

I'm ok with the thread. It's a legitimate question. It certainly will come with a myriad of responses. Nothing about the thread is negative. What's the concern here? "Get off my lawn"?

03/18/2017 - 9:37am absolutely not

an MSU loss to Kansas will only make Michigan beating Kansas that much sweeter.

03/16/2017 - 8:15pm 1400 "nobodies"?

01/29/2017 - 1:20pm Irvin trying too hard again

He wants too badly to put his name on a big rivalry game/tournament game. Somehow we have to survive his poor selection early and hope he heats up...

01/24/2017 - 2:55pm Imitation

is the sincerest form of flattery. I'm all for it. And honestly, for anyone mad about this...come on.

It's not like we have a special patent to signing day parties. Look at it this way, any time someone finds success, others will always try to duplicate it. Authors make a living off self help ideas because they came up with a way that works. All this says is that it works! Put this up in Jim Harbaugh's biography someday.

Also, we are on year TWO! Last year the event had some hits and some misses but generally the event planners are able to plan for and adjust accordingly. Anyone trying to do something similar will experience their own struggles in the inaugural campaign and while other schools try to duplicate all of this, your great leader is coming up with something even more amazing for next year. Enjoy the event, Hawkeyes.

01/14/2017 - 7:27pm What defense against it do you have?

They notoriously recruit kids Michigan gets soft on. One of them was just posted today regarding Taylor. They have a QB decommit from last year. They have a laundry list more of players who Michigan grew soft on. If anything, Sparty success hurt them more than poor coaching. Again, psychologically, they were at the pinnacle of success while Michigan was lagging. Now, this year, likely a year with their best overall class as senior recruits, they went and laid an egg because the "chip" was lost.
Dismiss it if you want but the number of players they try to poach from Michigan on top of the amount they get once Michigan lays off of them speaks for itself. And Dantonio is a good coach, but how much easier is it to coach a kid to beat HIS rival. Not MSU's rival, but the studemt athlete's rival. I find it to be an interesting correlation whether you see it or not.

To touch on your point, yes, I'm sure Dantonio also wants star athletes. But nobody sees a list of 5* kids ever signing in East Lansing. So maybe you looked too far into my comment about not developing stars.

01/14/2017 - 6:49pm How many times does MSU...?

Recruit kids solely for the purpose they will be angry at Michigan? Psychologically speaking, if they always recruit players who are weaker than Michigan recruits, it's no wonder they've had so much success over Michigan (not just recently, but even the random wins they pulled off)

Long story short, they recruit kids who WANT to beat Michigan more than they recruit kids because they want to develop star athletes. This is the "chip on the shoulder" and this is a scary recruit. Are we better? Yes. Do our kids resent MSU like their kids resent Michigan? No, why would they, they could go there if they wanted to...

01/05/2017 - 7:12pm How did this kid announce he

How did this kid announce he was going to Alabama? Did he hold a presser? If he is just going to arrive at a school then one has to imagine he is going to do what he already announced considering there is no new announcement.

That's just me thinking out loud.

do not want the biggest decision of their lives to be announced by someone else...

01/03/2017 - 3:33pm I think they can speak...

Just not sign with an agent.

12/28/2016 - 7:06am They'll end up 5th...

Maybe 4th if a playoff team gets castrated. There is absolutely no chance a playoff team wins a first round playoff game and then falls behind Michigan. I'd love to move higher but top 5 is top 5 if they can get it, as others have said, without the playoff it's all the same up there. To recruits, fans, and the team.

The goal was a national championship. Any number other than 1 next to their name will be mildly disappointing. P.S. I hate Iowa.

11/15/2016 - 9:50am I agree with the choice of Drake...

I don't agree with the fact he was lined up right behind the line. No running start, limited leaping ability.

10/10/2016 - 2:16pm National Championship...

...or bust!

Kidding of course.

But seriously, national championship or bust.
