I would bet Howard steps…

I would bet Howard steps down after the season due to "health concerns".

If you combine Mikey's…

If you combine Mikey's season performance with his combine results I would say he has put himself in the late first round conversation. if your thinking what about his size does that matter? Sure it does but there's more than one way to skin a cat. Think of the play in the end zone on the Stover catch. They threw over the top of Mike and he still made the play by knocking the ball out after the catch. The kid just has it. Somebody's going to get a hell of a ball player.

I mean, this was always the…

I mean, this was always the case. Admissions has for a long time been a thorn to both Football and Basketball recruiting. P4P just magnifies the problem all of which makes Juwan's job that much tougher. Juwan doesn't get a free pass though, he is responsible for the guys he brings in and the failure of those that don't make it. He has to be aware of the limitations and create a recruiting plan that works around that. He's also responsible for the product he puts on the floor which quite frankly, has been very ill prepared in most instances. I don't know what they teach in practice but some of the basic fundamentals don't appear to be it. Without the AD being committed to help turn this around I'm afraid we are going to see a lot more losing before we see a lot more winning.

So it looks like 2021 part II, heavy run and game management pass game. I'm not worried about the big receiver void, that can easily be replaced by a TE. Settling on a OL combo early and getting them sufficient reps to gel is a big deal. After that it's road grating season.

Stick with Goff and draft…

Stick with Goff and draft either Will Anderson or Jalen carter. Go defense with the second first rounder as well.

Georgia's pass defense…

Georgia's pass defense looked bad against Bama, middle of the field was open all night for the taking. Bama's protection was just good enough for them to execute against it. If Mich can replicate this then it will be a long night for Georgia.

Face it, Michigan was never…

Face it, Michigan was never really in it since he decommitted. It was all just lip service. That's ok, he's a kid and he wasn't feeling Michigan no problem, good luck to him at USC. We have a good DB class coming in even without him.

I would like to see Michigan…

I would like to see Michigan stack Ojabo and Hutch to one side of the formation and force OSU to adjust their blocking to mitigate it. Then blitz off the other side where you should then have a favorable one on one matchup. Either way you gain an advantage with Ojabo or Hutch facing a TE or RB instead of their other OT. I believe they could do this enough early on to cause some problems.

If Henning could block they…

If Henning could block they get the first down. He's been terrible in similar situations out on the edges. Probably should of had a TE over there instead.

Whittley and Speight played…

Whittley and Speight played together at the end of the third.

I'm sticking with 8-4 until we see a larger sample size of the season. I do agree that as of now, Wisc and Indy sure don't look like world beaters.

Hopefully Cade can give us…

Hopefully Cade can give us at the least a Jake Rudock level of play. If he can manage that we should be good for 8 to 9 wins.

Exactly. Let's wait for all…

Exactly. Let's wait for all the facts to come out, for all the voices to be heard before we grab a pitchfork, torch and a noose and start running off at the mouth like some kind of lynch mob. I don't doubt Anderson's culpability, but I do have doubts that Bo was complicit and until more people come forward with credible testimony to the contrary my opinion won't change.

Sorry I'm not buying. A lot…

Sorry I'm not buying. A lot of sour grapes sitting in the sun here. How convenient it is that every protagonist in this drama is deceased. If hundreds of other football team members and Coaches come out in support of this testimony then I'll eat my crow. Until then I'll file this under my,15 seconds of fame, glory shaming bullshit agenda.

Ashton Larkins I believe.

Ashton Larkins I believe.

Well, Rich Rodrigues, Brady…

Well, Rich Rodrigues, Brady Hoke, and Jim Harbaugh were all "proven winners" before their time at Michigan. Outside of Urban Meyer, there's no such thing as a sure thing in college coaching.

Good! Let the bleeding stop…

Good! Let the bleeding stop here and now.

What are the chances of that…

What are the chances of that? Well, as we are possibly the worst zone coverage team in the league pretty good I would say.

Don't forget Deone Walker of Cass Tech in the DT category.

And they shouldn't be able…

And they shouldn't be able to stop our attack either as 3/4 of their defense graduated. I doubt that they have recruited well enough to just re-load. It should be a wild game but I have no worries that we can win it.

No way they tie for Business…

No way they tie for Business school or Alumni. Don't know where you came up with this. He's just as tight with UM commits as ND so I wouldn't consider this a loss either. By the kids own criteria I would say UM leads for and lands Rocco.

Wow, the kids got some good speed. I wasn't expecting that before I watched his highlights. Seems to cover pretty good as well.

I would like this pick a lot better had they gotten the first round pick right. Take into account last years first round jaw dropper and my god these guys don't have a clue.

Sweet! He'd be a good fit at UM.

Looks like he'd make a pretty good running back to me. Great balance and vision, moves his feet real well, was breaking some tackles also. Competition probably has something to do with that as well.

Obviously he (Harbaugh) must…

Obviously he (Harbaugh) must feel that Tank will be an excellent recruiter? I get the Shoop hire as well though I hope he gets more involved in recruiting during his time here. But what I really want to know is just what is the problem with Bush Sr. that he keeps getting passed over for promotion? On the surface he seems like a no brainer to promote but something must be up with him?

Unfortunately he couldn't…

Unfortunately he couldn't stay healthy. Best of luck to you big fella. That leaves the top four at Hinton, Kemp, Smith and Jeter. If Jeter can stay healthy this could be a pretty good rotation.

Great read thanks! I…

Great read thanks! I actually touched on the pro scouting model in another thread. I think Michigan could certainly improve in that area and eventually they will have to if they want to reach the upper tier of Super teams.

Yeah I would say with the…

Yeah I would say with the transfer portal College ball is going to have two separate recruiting seasons. First high school then transfer options. The transfer portal is going to blow up after this season and become a huge recruiting deal.

Other then the guys turning pro, only Hudson, Solomon and Black would have seen game action. You could add St. Juste to that list but he was a medical transfer. As for the rest, well if you're getting passed by younger players then aside from a depth standpoint it really isn't much of a loss. Just goes to show what a crap shoot recruiting is. Better be good at player development.

Wiltfong's comment about the…

Wiltfong's comment about the recruiting isn't anything new. It has been this way since Harbaugh took over. Warde and Harbaugh need to throw a shit ton of money at this and organize it like a professional sports team would with coordinators and analyst in each region to assist the Asst. Coaches and collect recruiting data. Use available recruiting services as well. It just doesn't make sense not making it more of a priority then it is. They have been lucky to have had a couple super recruiters: (Wheatley, Partridge, Mattison) on staff together. Going forward that might not be the case.

OFFENSE:

1. Henning Wr,

2. Corum Rb

3. Hibner Te, Special teams

4. Wilson Wr, Special teams

DEFENSE: A lot depends on what the coaching staff does with guys in front of this class, Quinton Johnson & Anthony Solomon, etc. Johnson is athletic enough to play corner and Solomon could move to middle or will linebacker.

1. Seldon @ Nb

2. Morant @ Viper, special teams

3. Mullings, Special teams, middle or Will linebacker

4. Moten, Special teams Safety

5. Mohan, Special teams, Viper

6. Savage, Special teams, Shark linebacker

7. Page, Special teams, Safety

This is a big loss for…

This is a big loss for recruiting. Top 10 recruiter every year. You can't compete with OSU like this. I  would like to see them go after Marcus Woodson at Auburn as a replacement.

Stock Up: Gattis

Stock up:…

Stock Up: Gattis

Stock up: Quin Nordin.

Stock up: Hinton, Jeter, Speight. Thanks for the effort!

Stock Even: OL, RB, Special Teams, Coaching, LBs, WRs, DEs

Stock Down: Hutchinson for stupid penalty that led directly to Alabama TD

Stock Down: Vert Hill for not even trying on Jeudy 58 yard catch and run in 4th quarter.

Stock Down: Ronnie Bell whose hands turned to stone in the second half.

Stock Down: Is Wil Hart still injured?

Stock Way down: Patterson for choking away a scoring opportunity when the score was still close by holding the damn ball too long and eating it. For over throwing several passes. For making shit reads that cost us scores.

Stock Way Down: Don Brown for another coverage scheme nightmare. Man coverage was pummeled AGAIN.

If our top four right now is…

If our top four right now is Kemp, Dwumfour, Hinton and Jeter then I would assume the coaches like him better then one or more of them options? I doubt he comes here or the coaches would bother looking at him if he is not a top four rotation piece. That leaves Mazi Smith, Welschof and Mike Morris as extra bodies at DT. I would also expect Smith to crack the top four next season so it is curious that they are kicking the tires on this one.Coaches must be expecting a couple of openings or position changes next season.

I don't know about NT but…

I don't know about NT but Aaron Lewis is one I think will for sure outplay his ranking. Great burst, good hands, solid strength already. SDE or 3tech I think suits him best. What a gift of riches with Morant, Mohan, Mullings and Moten! I like Moten best at S and Mullings at LB. Morant and Mohan seem best suited for Viper or Lb after watching their film. Lots of speed and athleticism. The whole class is a real meat and potatoes class. a lot to like about it with solid contributors everywhere except DT.
