I would guess Partridge would move back to LB's. Bush Sr. must be moving on if he is not in the mix for a secondary coach position?

I mentioned in a thread a couple of days ago that I for one would like to see this. The others (Gil, Ross, Anthony) haven't shown me much and McGrone hasn't even sniffed the field. I would go one step further and move Metellus to Viper.

I'm thinking more T.Jones = LT, Keegan = RT, Barnhart = swingman, Carpenter or Rumler = C, G

That may be true but there's no denying the OL wasn't as good the last two games without JBB.

A short and intermediate passing game would help this a lot.

Playing more bump & run would certainly help. Giving wr's a free release off line is asking for trouble. Disrupting routes before they can develop also allows more pressure on the quarterback. Mich does need to play more zone but it will help if they could play one like they know what their doing.

Move Hudson to the middle and Metellus to viper.

No way Metellus plays deep safety. He's just as challenged on the foot speed front. If your safeties can't cover in this defense then you better be able to play zone and we can't play zone worth a shit.

Yet the Senior Bowl is? If the first part of your statement is true then why play in any meaningless bowl game? You mean he couldn't have a career ending injury playing in the Senior bowl but could supporting his teammates in the Peach bowl?

It's good for the player(s) but it certainly isn't good for a team preparing for a bowl game. Especially when they will be missing several key starters. Contrary to the narrative some would like to paint the bowl game is not a meaningless "exhibition match". Don't believe for one minute that this game doesn't mean something to Jim Harbaugh. With a chance to end the season on a winning note it most certainly means something to the players, staff and potential recruits.
All because the players staying are not coming out and blasting those sitting doesn't mean that they don't feel negatively about it. They are just not going to blast anyone publicly for it. You really don't hear anything about this subject from the rest of the players. Pretty quiet considering there are 85 guys on a team.
My question is why bother playing at all if you have a chance of being drafted? What was the point of playing the first 12 games? At any point through those 12 games a horrific career ending injury could have occurred so why bother? And stop using Jake Butt as an example. He has already said he would play the bowl game again. They are quitting on their team and teammates and it isn't any different then a head coach bailing out on one team for another. It is a selfish act. I do support the players right to prepare for the draft and a well earned payday. But let's not spin this as something good for the game. That it is not.

Both Solomon and Hudson considered transferring multiple times in their brief stays at UM. Perhaps their injury/depth chart standing gave them the excuse to finally go ahead and pull the trigger on leaving?

Outside of Barnhart, the best candidate to play LT in this class. Has good feet and athleticism for the position.
Showed good pad level but needs to keep his eyes up when run blocking. At times he looked unsure who to block in this video. Could see a line combo of Jones (LT) with Barnhart (LG), Rumler (C), Carpenter (RG), and Keegan (RT).

Seeing how the big 10 champ and a shot at the playoff are now realistically out of reach we might as well insert Mayfield and Hudson at the tackle spots and let them play. Ambry Thomas needs to play wr also. Evans needs more touches and play a little more zone on D to keep opponents offenses off balance.

Game was lost in the first quarter when stupid penalties lead directly to ND's fist 21 points. Three times penalties kept ND drives alive and the three missed interception opportunities , (Devin Bush, Lavert Hill, & Brad Hawkins) certainly could have changed the outcome.

9-3. Loses to Wisc. & OH.ST. Tossup: PENN.ST. winnable: MSU, yes even at home they can be had. Neither PENN.ST or MSU's defense's showed anything to be afraid of this weekend. MSU at home even barely won that game and their OL looked even worse then ours. Of course it is all dependent on UM making adjustments that get the OL righted.
