Glad to hear that Denard is being more decisive with his throws and how the receivers are competing well. This is a big year for this offense considering the away schedule that has to be played. Big Will is doing the things he needs to do and in becoming more of a leader and I think that Kovacs is the football team's  version Novack on defense as far as being that underated tough leader that every winning programs need and he will be missed. The Alabama game is going to be the perfect measuring stick to how this team and the seniors are going to represent Team 133, and I think that is where we will have an honest assement of where this team is at as fans!

Can't wait to see what Team 133 is gonna look like, with another year of this great staff doing their work, fundamentals just have to be an improvement like last years team was more dialed in to the previous year.

The 1998 Michigan - Syracuse game featured 2 of the best QB's ever to play for either team: Brady and McNabb. What does Hoke remember- why the line play of Michigan's defense and how he could have prepared them better for the early season test. This bodes well for our readiness to play Alabama.

I was just reading short piece on the OL and TEs on WN and had the thought that I'd be really interested to see an interview with Devin Funchess about what type of workout regimen the coaches have him on and if he's gaining any weight.  He's someone I'm really excited about so I'm hoping he can bulk up and get some time this fall.

I was disappointed to hear nothing about Chris Bryant from coach Hoke.  We could really use a guy with his size (not sure its all good size yet of course, and a little more trim would be better). I still hope to see some good things from Bryant in the future.

I was shocked that he didn't mentioned Bryant at LG...rather he mentioned a walk-on long snapper.

Encouraging news about BWC...

But also surprised we didn't hear about Gardner.

With that said, the press always seems to be one press conference behind the blogs. I say that in all seriousness. They asked a lot of the stuff in this PC that they should've asked a week ago. Hopefully next time we'll hear about Devin, Bryant, JiBreel Black, Jake Ryan, Cam Gordon, Furman, Countess and the other CBs.

...or at least those are players I want to hear about.

Seems mixed at best. Hoke also said he's come out on the losing end at practices (plural) this spring. Although, to his credit he is "running the consequences" well.

The coaches aren't going to mention every guy and every presser.  Bryant wasn't mentioned, but he has been before.  Hoke might have forgotten to list his name, or he wanted to give other guys some press.  It's only when you go months without hearing a guy mentioned that you really think anything of it.

I noticed the lack of mention of Bryant as well.  Given that he's been mentioned previously by the coaches, I'm assuming it's for motivation and we'll hear better things about him in the weeks ahead.

Good to hear that Mealer is doing well and Miller is doing well enough he's playing at guard in case Barnum is the starting center.

There are a couple articles over at the Michigan Rivals site, and both kind of hit on a few players I have heard good things about, Jerrod Wilson and Jerald Robinson.  I know most people thought that Wilson would redshirt, but from what I have heard, he has a chance to challenge for playing time this year.  I have also heard that Jerald Robinson has been one of the most impressive wideouts so far in spring practice.  Nice to hear some young players stepping up to fill some vital roles.

I am also looking forward to seeing Devin Funchess. I STILL think he should be moved to WR with his athleticism and size. He reminds me of David Terrell. He could be a hybrid and play wide out as well as TE. He can really create mismatches with LB's and SS's. I like his ceiling. I am excited about all of our incoming freshmen including the EE's. It is too bad we did not more, All of these articles I read seem to think Michigan is going to take a step back and only win 8 games. Personally, I like all of you I am sure remember looking at the schedule in the days of Lloyd Carr not worrying about these road games. It is all part of the game and Hoke will have our boys well prepared. I do not look so much in to away games because if your team is well prepared and focused it is just another game. I think we return to the Michigan way and start the vuilding of another GREAT Michigan dynasty. Our coaches know what they are doing and know what it takes to win. Bama will be a tough game but other than that and that ohio team, I like our chances. If we beat Bama I am expecting two rings going into Schembecler hall. Go BLUE!

the spelling changed. Schembechler, if you please. I didn't use reply so you can fix it and not look like a sparty fan trying to pass.
