that you heard his grades were bad? LMAO LMAO! you should seriously kill whoever told you that. His test scores are high enough to get him into Stanford. The reason he might not be able to graduate EARLY is because he wouldn't have TIME to finish EARLY. As far as his season is going: 172-264, 2987 yards, 11.31 yds/att, 21-8 TD-INT, 63 carries, 662 yards, 10.51 ypa, 10 TD. His team is 7-3.

You don't know what you're talking about. Maybe he has "good enough test scores to get into Stanford" (whatever that means; I'm not sure, but I am pretty sure that you aren't sure, either) but the fact of the matter is that he may or may not complete his course of study in time to enroll early at Michigan. Like it or not, I've got good reason to believe that academics isn't the kid's strong suit. Just because he's white doesn't mean he's the scholastic equivalent of Craig Krenzel.

Because there is a long held projection that white quarterbacks are smarter than black quarterbacks. Perhaps, this point wasn't emphasized by you and, notably, I wasn't attributing it to you. Rather,I was pointing out very flawed way of looking at the world that, unfortunately, is also a very common one.

LOL, that is true, Harbaugh and the best academic school in the universe did offer him a scholarship. I also saw a Wisconsin fan making fun of us for offering a "home schooled kid" and that our academics must have declined under richrod, I pointed out that he also had offers from WISCONSIN, Penn State, Stanford, BYU, Northwestern, Florida and Virginia. Schools will offer almost anyone if they really really want him. Elite athletes have an easier time getting in.

that it's "a few more English courses" - who takes a few of any single course in their senior year? Most likely, he has one or two classes - English or otherwise - that are core requirements that he has not yet completed. I don't know how homeschooling works and if he can just take an aptitude or competency exam to earn a waiver, but that would seem ideal.

Home schooled kids have a harder time enrolling early than public school kids because they have a lot more paperwork to fill out and tests to take before they go to college. Also, I remember reading an article about how Tate was not doing well in public school, but then once he was home-schooled his dad got him a bunch of tutors and his SAT scores went up really high.

graduate to enroll at Michigan? I know several college graduates who have not graduated from high school. One got a GED at age forty just so his wife would quit teasing him.

Neither here nor there, but the idea of being home-schooled and not having good grades makes me giggle. Is mom failing him? The people his family is paying?

That would make a lot more sense in terms of the grades and it would also explain why it will be harder for him to get his work done early enough to enroll early. Straight home-schooling didn't really fit the description of the problem.
