Does Michigan need a bell cow back to succeed?

We have had 4 classes of recruits and harbaugh has picked all ten assistant coaches. The coaching isnt good enough and we miss out on too many top recruits. The blame lies with Jim and the defense is starring to dip without our nfl players.

I don’t know what you do anymore. New position coaches? OCs? HCs? I don’t know. I think there is a deep-seeded, truly fundamental problem with Michigan football right now. Something with the program as a whole, it’s mentality and how it operates/carries itself. And I have no idea how you fix it.

I still think Harbaugh is our best bet. For any of you schmucks who want to get rid of him, fine, but who do you realistically replace him with? You’re not going to have a Saban or a Meyer fall into your lap. There is zero guarantee that the guy you replace Harbaugh with isn’t RichRod 2.0. If you make a new hire, you’re taking a chance on someone. It’s not a quick fix.

Honestly, the state of this program isn’t worth getting upset over anymore. This has been what Michigan is for 20 years. Getting embarrassed by OSU and showing up flat in a bowl game.

I appreciate all of the hard work the team put in. Especially the seniors. I hope Chase gets paid some serious money in a few months. He’s earned it.

At the end of the day, it’s just a fucking game. Zero bearing on real life. Same with the basketball team.

That’s all else I’ve got left to add.

The only foundational problem right now is a stubborn insistence on forcing one specific scheme, whether offense or defense (but mostly offense).  And that all comes back to the head coach.  Additionally, I really don't think Harbaugh cares about bowl games - other than maybe the Rose Bowl and probably playoff games.  And that is unfortunate.

Give me Bob Stoops. I think he would kill it here. He'd be great at recruiting Ohio and would run a pass spread offense which would fit our team perfectly. Imagine having DPJ, Nico and Black on the field at the same time. Instead we are stuck with Harbaugh running his stupid FB/TE crap.

Is anyone else surprised by the lack of Jordan Anthony PT? Dude was a 5 star and instead of getting him experience we were forced to watch Devin Gil and Jordan Glasgow play linebacker today.
