but why are you guys so upset about me asking a question? I wasn't affirming anything. The title was a question and my post clearly said that it was a RUMOR.

I didn't see your original post. I just showed up an hour or so ago, and saw the edited post. I understand what you're saying here, you were asking a question. The problem is that newb's aren't exactly handled with kid gloves around here, and you probably should have prefaced your question a little more, especially since your account is/was linked to an MSU email address.
I'm not saying you shouldn't have asked the question, but intent goes a long way 'round these parts. It was (IMO) reasonable for everyone to assume that you are a Sparty troll, assuming that your original post didn't have any more detail than is contained in the edited version.
Perhaps it was a bit harsh to post your name and email, but that's life on the interwebz. Have a great day.

I think that's highly immature of whoever your mods are, especially because I have been respectful in my posts. Busch league, in my opinion. Not that it really matters because I wasn't trying to hide (as you can tell by me using my msu email to join this board).

Posting the dude's name/email is the same sort of mentality/maturity level as posing a rumor based on a thin veil of evidence. The ensuing rage against the OP says something about the standards of the community here, but posting the OP's name/email says something very different about the moderators. If you want to keep it classy, you have to be classy yourself.

the last thing mods want is for this blog to be overrun by trolls. The kid was trying to start a rumor with a group of other trolls, and was caught with his pants down. Its not like it was an innocent statement from an avid UofM fan.

I am a diehard U of M fan, and no way do I have to refer to my points or join date to prove that. If you're talking about the original OP and his source, I can understand that, but I am in no way a troll, just stated that the story is not just from an MSU message board alone...

in my first comment, I stated that a friend of mine who works on the equipment staff had told me Tate had an injury during weightlifting, and he would probably need a splint for his wrist for a while...

Also, it seems that if you actually had a friend that is on the equipment staff, you wouldn't have given up so easily. "Wait, you guys don't think so? I guess my friend on staff must be lying."

In one post you said you heard from someone that worked with the players on the staff. One would think that was a fairly reliable source. 2 posts down, after someone said they saw Tate with no wrist injury, you said it must not be true. Is it that easy? Do you think I am really Tate Forcier? Do you believe your friend, who works closely with players on the staff, or don't you?

I believe my friend. He is a very reliable source. As I just said, I take his word over all of yours. No, I do not believe you are Tate Forcier. I just do not want to get in a silly argument over whether or not you guys believe something someone else told me, because it always turns into a mess. You seem quite bitter towards me...Do you not believe I am a Michigan fan or is it just that I supported a so-called rumor with secondhand information people can choose to believe or not believe?

I agree, but I for one am also going to be much more wary and conservative of my posting here, lest I say the wrong thing and an overzealous and indiscreet moderator, in a flash of anger or after a few drinks - who knows - decides to post my name and email. I post here because of anonymity (due to my vocation), though I also try not to abuse it. I think, however, that the bar for sustained anonymity was lowered here, and it is a bit unsettling.
I think the approach taken is just not good practice - the mod could have just said "everyone - we determined that this poster, from his email address, is an MSU student and is thus a troll" and that would have killed the OP's credibility. End of story.

Tate just updated his face book saying he's almost up to 200lbs and is about to "get swoll" again. so no broken wrist. so sorry you msu troll
