Does that mean we can go ahead and claim a 2021 national championship based on the polls that have us #1? Make the t shirts!

Yes, now go streak through the streets in celebration and light a couch on fire.

Not much of a holiday. Sick with COVID.

Hope you feel better. I don't know how many NCSU fans made the cross-country trip, but to have this game cancelled a few hours before kick-off probably is inducing some vomiting from those who spent probably a couple grand in flights and hotel rooms with absolutely nothing to show for it.

These bowls should have bubbled the teams upon arrival to the site. I wonder do teams get to keep the money from the bowl appearance or do they have to return it.

I'm more worried about the swag. Could you imagine getting a PS5 and then having to give it back?

As a friendly reminder, the vaunted SEC is 0-3 in bowl games so far. Carry on.

USA vs. Switzerland in the World Juniors has been canceled as well. Team USA has to forfeit and is now in quarantine. Hasn't been determined if they'll get to play Wednesday vs. Sweden or not.

Just pause the fucking bowl slate for a few weeks if possible. That goes for the CFP games as well
December 28th, 2021 at 4:09 PM ^
Seems like teams are not interested in playing unless they have everyone available.

I mean if one entire unit is devastated then it is hard to play. Can’t throw out 195 lb walk ons against a D1 Offensive Line.

What is the testing process? Do they test everyone daily? Even if they have no symptoms?
December 28th, 2021 at 5:11 PM ^
No way the CFP semi final is cancelled earlier than just before the game. Why would someone forfeit earlier when there’s an equal chance the other team would do the same? Let the other team forfeit and you have 10 days to get healthy.
That said. I’m betting the game gets played!

I suspect teams would play untested symptomatic players before they forfeit. Call me cynical.
They definitely aren't volunteering asymptomatic players to be tested.

Damn, I was counting on the over in that game. Now my parlay is only 3 games

Total bummer. It seems like this was cancelled after the parade in downtown San Diego this morning. Amazing how much sports news I get from MgoBlog. Sure hope the rest of the games get played.

Is Herbstreit calling UCLA “cowards” for ducking this game?

The Holiday Bowl is looking for another team to play NC State?
Nebraska's available!
