Didn't see this posted on the board yet, but ESPN reports that Petersen has decided to stay at Boise St. Stanford had contacted him about their HC vacancy and of course his name came up as a possibility for M.

His son, Sam, is a cancer survivor. It's been 10 years since he was diagnosed with brain cancer, but Sam is only 11 or 12 years old. As a result, Chris is not ego-driven. He doesn't need the affirming power of being the highest paid coach in America, or coaching at a "better" school with a "better" program. He's a man with the right perspective on things.

I'm sure I heard somebody say that Michigan is Peterson's Dream Job. He'll have to pick a number and get in line behind Harbaugh and Gruden, though.
