"I see you, and you see me

Watching both of the lines with their blocking so clean

Oh, Connor, you ought to know

What your eyes overlook, your camera will show

To your coach

When he does play design, he can't escape my....

Private eyes, they're watching you...."

In all seriousness, the OP did an excellent job, but I thought I would at least begin to fulfill your wish as well.

+1 not only for the wordplay, but also for the obscurity of this picture. Kaline on the left, and I think the other two are Jake Wood and Rocky Colavito, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

Kaline should have been a pitcher or a catcher. That way, Ernie Harwell would have been able to say, "Al Kaline - what a great part of a battery!"

I'll show myself out ...

yep, wood and colavito.

i always though colavito had a fringe case for the hall of fame.  perennial mvp candidate, perennial 100-rbi, 30-hr guy, drew a bunch of walks, scored runs…but he bounced around a bunch, never played in the world series (no divisional playoffs, back in the day), and he was done by the time he was 33.  his closest comps are guys like frank howard and roy seivers and jermaine dye - excellent players who could help you win a championship but who were a notch below all-timer status.

Colavito should have played in the World Series in 1961, when he had 45 HRs and 140 RBIs, and the Tigers won 101 games. But of course, that was the year the Yankees won 109 games behind the Maris and Mantle race for Babe Ruth's HR record.

A case of bad timing if ever there was.

Ryan Day seemed to find out early

How to win from third base with his team

A rich old booster and he won't have to worry

About his Just for Men and shaving cream

Saturday, The Big House isn't friendly

Paying 5 star recruits has its price

Buckeye tears flow since last November

Harbaugh's revenge is cold as ice

Ryan Day told Greg Schiano

He'll send Harbaugh's signals to Purdue

The Buckeye team is as soft as Charmin

Collude, and Purdue will know what to do

Ryan Day hired a private eye

Connor Stalions is in disguise

ESPN just realized

OSU just hired a private eye

The Big Ten wonders how it got this crazy

The Buckeyes didn't come here to play school

Did the Buckeyes tire or did they just get lazy

The Wolverines just made them look like fools

My oh my, Stalions knows how to steal things

He did it so well, not carefully

Ain't it funny what sign stealing does bring

Everybody does it to some degree

Repeat chorus

Ryan Day hired a private eye

OSU hired a private eye
