OT: Talking Cars Tuesday "I wish...."
Yes, everyone wants a '64 Impala, but more importantly, what about you car do you wish was just a bit different? Fewer miles and a lower payment are easy, what's the one, nagging thing that while it's not a deal breaker, you wish you had it. Most BRZ/FRS/86 owners say a few more HP would be awesome, and for most coupes, every Mustang GT owner will tell you per 'Cube you also coulda had a V8.
What's your own-car-improvement wish?
Because I can't edit my posts, here's what would've appeared in place of that little red x above:
No, that's NOT right. Here's what should go there.
I wish that I still had my first car, a '68 Barracuda fastback with a 318 V8. Yellow with dark green interior, we nicknamed it the Bananacuda. I bought it from my parents for $500.
In my top 10 list of car engines the top 3 slots are taken by the slant 6, the AMC/Chrysler 4.0, and the 318.
The 318 in my ZJ was a bit wheezy up top, but man, it had lots of nice torque on the low end. And I put 240K on it without any issues. I really miss that car. I'd still have it if it wasn't for that meddling rust.
bought a ford focus for cheap during cash for clunkers. it's been a great car for 9 years, but turns out it doesn't have a cabin air filter. wish it did, it blows all the outside odors right in your face. the goat poop smell from my backyard mini goats stayed in there for years.
I wish the prices for all my favorite cars were $1 :)
There is nothing more expensive than a cheap/free car.
I have an ‘09 BMW 535xi. Given my frustrating logical nature, I expect it will be the most fun car to drive that I ever own. It’s a perfect balance of power, comfort and utility. However, if it had a manual transmission, it would be truly incredible.
Oh, and real cup holders.
I wish my car was not a mini-van.
I wish... you'd all remember me next time you need a used car. Hahaha
By the way, the place i work now sells Argo ATV's Quads, 6x6's and 8x8's. The 6's and 8's are amphibious. The only licensed dealer in SW Michigan.
How many MGoPoints do we get with a purchase?
The only car that matters to me is my BRG Aston Martin DB 11. And the only thing that it needs, that it does not currently have, is my name on the title.
Miss my 1976 Vega and putting a quart of oil in it every day....NOT
A little more head room in my 98 wrangler. When i have my sunshade on it, my head hits it. Love it, but I'm a tall guy (6-3), so it's a little compact. But hey, wouldn't trade it for nothing!
My 2008 G8 GT doesn't have a stick. Given the impending doom for Pontiac at the time, I didn't believe they'd be putting one in the 2009s (the G8 GXP), so went ahead and bought a 2008 when no manual was offered.
Registration fees were not based on original msrp. So, many depreciated high end cars I'd love to own, but sky high registration fees is one to many dumb things about owning said car.
How do you edit a post?
I have a 2014 Escape and I wish it had the much better interior layout of the newer Escapes while still having its own exterior styling. I hate most of the styling changes on the Escape refresh, but the interior is a gazillion times smarter.
