OT: Parking at Crisler on Sun

Submitted by jabberwock on

My daughter is singing the national anthem tomorrow afternoon at Crisler for the WBB game vs. Rutgers.  (Well, her and her elementary school chorus).

BB (particularly WBB) isn't my thing, so I've never been to Crisler.  I've been to countless Sat football games and maybe a few night Hockey games.

I don't expect it to be crowded or anything, but whats the parking like?  Is the Blue lot even full?

to be in front of the computer right now instead of on my phone. I'd be posting the video of Ozzy doing the national anthem. Seriously, though, that's got to be a proud moment, to see your daughter performing the national anthem at Crisler. Enjoy!

Is there anywhere within a half mile to park for free? I've been to all but 2 home games this year and have a spot I normally park for $10 but was just curious is any streets or anything are ok to park on for free.

This ^ times a million. Don't understand paying for parking when you can walk 10-15 minutes and park for free. ( besides elderly or handicapped obviously).

Took my kids to the WBB game against OSU earlier this year, and not only were parking spots available all over the place, they were also all free.

Mine will be the cute one singing off-key  :-)

Thanks for all the responses, will try to get there a bit early and scout around for a close cheap spot.  Figured WBB wasn't much of a draw, but parking is the only thing I absolutely loath about attending sporting/music events.

Apparently I only read the beginning and end of thread topics because I clicked this thinking it would be about parking on the sun. Then it made wonder if our civilization would ever reach a point where limited parking on the sun will be a concern. I am sober.

Parking for WBB is in the lot at Crisler and it is free.  I've never had a problem getting a parking space there - it just a question if it is really really close or if you have to walk a few minutes.

Congrats on your daughter singing the national anthem - sounds exciting.

Enjoy the game.  The team and Coach Barnes Arico are making progress in elevating the quality of our WBB program.  If we could get a crowd that knows how to cheer it could turn into something good.
