Coaches outcry on the rule has been heard.
SLIGHT MOD EDIT - Just to make it clear which "10 Second Rule" is being discussed - LSA
I thought he was talking about sex for a second there. Or was that food dropped on the floor?
Bret Bielema
But.....but the weight room. The Community.
Won't someone think of them?
Thank all available deities for Rich Rod! Not even the NCAA can overcome the moral force of a mid-90's movie parody.
Not gonna lie, at first I was wondering why the NCAA was dabbling in rules regarding dropped food.
I am guessing that Saban and Bielema will now take it to the streets with a public service announcement. I can see either of them, eggs in hand and in front of a frying pan and using the format of an famous anti-drug ad:
"OK, last time."
*holds up egg*
"This is football."
*camera moves to frying pan*
"This is uptempo offense."
*egg is broken and emptied into pan*
"This is football with uptempo offense. Any questions?"
"Friends don't let friends option off the DE."
"Just Say No.......to undersized slot dots."
of Nick Saban."
Just say no.
I thought the proposed rule was OK. Giving defenses 10 seconds to substitute wouldn't have been that much. I'm surprised how much of an outcry there was.
if offense subsitute, the defense must have the same courtesy of subsituting at the same time. If defense tries to subsitute and offense does not, the offense has the right to snap it quickly for too many men on the field. The officials will stand over the ball if offense does subsitute.
When I first saw this I read it as the NCAA was going to finally withdraw the S.E.C rules. You know, like its OK in the SEC to pay players, its OK to oversign and cut players, etc.
18 comments, six of them "when I first say" and only now the S. E. C. is mentioned. Interesting.
