OT-MGoCellPhone Advice?

Submitted by TXWolverine44 on

So i'm starting to shop around for a new phone and I want a smartphone but since they are pricey, I would like to buy one with no doubts. I've narrowed it down to three models and would like some advice from anyone who has heard, owns, or knows someone who owns any of these phones:

htc HD2

Samsung Vibrant

Tmobile MyTouch Slide

Here is a link that has the three phones compared side by side

Thanks for your help!

EDIT: And my service is Tmobile and I don't plan on changing it any time soon (even though i'm aware other providers do have much better phones...dammit...)

many of the high-end Samsung phones (fwiw I am a Samsung guy and pretty happy with it) have now gone to Android as a third-party OS.  This could potentially be huge news and forewarn a future where we all use the same software on our phones.  Just sayin'.

definitely the vibrant. it has great innards, one of the best screens in the industry, and will be getting Android 2.2 by the end of the summer. it also looks like it has the specs to handle Android 3.0 when that comes out in the next 6 months or so. Android is fantastic, man.

and not even close.  The MyTouch sucks, was not even very good when it was released.  I had the HD2 for two weeks and loved it, but returned it in order to buy what is basically the Android version of that phone, the Sprint EVO.  I doubt the HD2 would disappoint you even though Windows Mobile 6.5 will not be updated to WinMo7, but the Vibrant is a much better phone and you'd be "future-proofing" with the upgradeable Android OS.

the galxy S phone that just released on AT&T is sublime, if the phone here is the same as that one, it is much better than the WinMo HD2 device
