16 seasons for 7 clubs, with a final slash line of 249/337/465 and exactly 1800 hits.  Never the best player in the league, but generally good for a very long time.

Enjoy your retirement!

A favorite Tiger for many back in the day. I believe he put up some better power numbers once he left, but his best overall years were in Detroit. (Maybe I'm wrong, fair-weather fan here and I mostly tune out when my fav team sucks)  Enjoy Grandy!

I would say that is somewhat accurate, but his best overall year was probably with the Yankees in  2011. Hit 260, with 41 Home runs, 25 steals and an OBP of .364 that year. Other than his average declining over time and power numbers spiking a couple of years with the Yankees, no doubt aided by the park somewhat he was pretty much the same guy for most of his career. Good power, decent OBP, high strikeouts, low to average BA, decent speed and solid defense. Only time he hit above .280 was with the Tigers in 2007. One of those guys who ended most at bats in either a extra base hit, strikeout or walk.

While 47.4 WAR, 344 HRs, and 937RBIs won't get him into the HOF, it's still pretty impressive and consistent.

Btw, I think his best year was 2007, 185hits, 23HRs, 23 triples, .302/.361/.552 at Comerica.  Finished 10th for MVP.

Solid player and career; I'd love to see him in the booth somewhere, but especially in Detroit.  I thought he always offered more than the usual player insight into a game, his play, etc. during interviews.

Very solid player and seemed to be a great human being.  My son, as a youngster, chose to wear 28 during baseball season only, strictly because of Grandy.  I think he chose a great guy to idolize.  I suspect he will do much good as a retiree.

Curtis Granderson is a true gentleman of the sporting world and one of my favorites Tigers of the last couple decades.  Loved his enthusiastic attitude and especially his defensive prowess in center field while with the Tigers. A true joy to watch!

I wish him well in whatever the next phase of his life brings him, and like someone already mentioned, would love to see him end up in the broadcast booth (if that's something he's interested in doing).

I think we will end up seeing Grandersons best years coming after his playing career. I mean that in the most positive way possible. Grandy has been very active in the community his entire career. He always had charitable work going in whatever city he played in as well as Chicago. I know he was doing a lot of work helping inner city kids get into baseball and off the streets. I would be surprised if he didnt do a crap ton of good over the next number of years now that he has more time on his hands.

Always loved rooting for you Curtis, congratulations and enjoy this next phase of your life!
