First check at every school outside of Stanford is "is the dude a great football player?".

Character matters if the answer to question 1 is yes.

Very few schools bother moving to question 2. I like that Harbaugh appears to do so.

Caught now in the twilight zone of really wanting their football team to be relevant again and thinking Butch is still the savior that can take them to the promised land vs. going to full cover up mode and hoping they can keep this all under the radar.  I'm going to take the under and say this blows up in their face!

We need to know that this potential player will throw away any character he may have in order to protect team mates when they are accused of murders, rapes, drugs, armed robbery, B&E's, all the way down to spitting on the sidewalk.

We have since started a "Circle of thugs" club.(you may have heard of other SEC schools doing this) so that the players will be joining (whether they want to or or ....er they decide they want to or not) where all info to leave the circle has to be first approved by me. Or in the case I may have to be terminated for some petty reason I don't have to worry about players making accusations about coaches, players or anyone else connected to the University without  first having their reputation thoroughly destroyed by the fans that love this team without condition.
