OT: Butch Jones doesn't care about Stars

This guy is just the gift that keeps on giving.

When asked about recruiting Jones said he doesn't care about stars, “We’ve spoken about the competitive nature, and I think that’s really, really big in today’s world,” Jones said. "Everyone gets into the whole two-star, three-star, four-star, five-star thing. The only five-star that we even concern ourselves with is a five-star heart."

I tell all the Vol fans around me here in Tennessee that Butch is UT's version of Brady Hoke. Can recruit well, can't develop players, loses every big game, and has these awful sound bites. He got somewhat of a pass in the media this year due to injuries, and DeBord was scapegoated even though the defense was more of a problem than the offense. He'll probably go 7-5 or worse next year, but still be kept on because who can they get that's better?

This is the guy who called a player on his team a "traitor" for giving up a teamate who raped a girl. That's a five star heart alright. Fuck Butch Jones.

Didn't he get the #1 overall player? Who gives a shit about stars? A five star on one service is a 4* or 3* on another, it doesn't mean shit. I know, I know, more 5* play in the NFL and win championships blah blah blah. I don't like giving him the benefit of the doubt because he's a total scumbag but at the same time I think he was just making a point that they don't over value stars. It sends the right message (a rarity for him).

Butch Jones is an absolute joke.  You can't take the guy seriously.  Any person that says Mike Debord has a dynamic offense, has clearly lost their minds.  I keep hoping Butch gets canned, but every year his teams seem to just do enough to not get fired.  Therefore, from here on out I will refer to Butch Jones as the office space coach.
