OH TE Smith decommits from Cincinnati
As Brian speculated a couple of days ago, OH TE Alex Smith decommitted today after receiving offers from the likes LSU and Miami (FL). He could be the biggest slot receiver...ever.

I also enjoyed this newspaper's high production value.
WUT WUT
+1 for the slot receiver comment.
Smith is next.
How the hell do you have 163 points?

I like this kid. I hope RR goes after TE's he sees as special every year and accompanies them into the offense more. By watching Oklahoma a lot this past year i've seen how valuable and dangerous they can be to an offense.
What are our chances with this kid?
But if I did have four stars, I bet you'd like me too.
However, I do agree with your comment about Oklahoma. Jermaine Gresham was deadly last year. He was a good outlet (and primary) target. Not claiming to fully understand our spread offense fully yet, I would think there would have to be some adjustments to get a tight end involved that way.
I have no insider knowledge at all, but just observing the way the coaches have recruited for 2009 and 2010, I think it is reasonable to speculate that UM will have a more balanced (re: run-to-pass ratio) spread attack than what was on display during the Pat White years at WVU.
and came away impressed. Said he is definitely considering the Maize & Blue.

LSU normally won't take an official visit from a committed recruit. Not sure about unofficial visits, but that could be a big part of him fully opening up his recruitment again.
Cameron Fordham from GA. Not sure if they are in the market for more than one or not, but they have one commit.
Yeah I am wondering how "recent" the LSU offer is
LSU also has Nick Jacobs in the fold for 2010.
Do we have any chance at this guy?
Yes.
rationale please?
still committed to Cincinnati, he drove himself to Ann Arbor for the Big House BBQ.
