Michigan vs Ohio (not that Ohio) Men's Basketball Thread - Tonight

I don't know, maybe I'm a glutton for punishment, but I'm finishing off my weekend with our beloved Wolverines basketball team. Let's hope we see some progress. Go Blue!

Watching M bball has become increasingly annoying over the past couple of years.

It just feels like a lack of fundamentals. Inconsistent shooting, bad at FT's, defensive lapses.

You know, kinda like the opposite of Beilein teams.

I'm curious how old the original poster is... to compare Tarris Reed to Pat-rick Ewing..

They are both large men. Ewing was bigger though and had silly wingspan.

Ewing was a polished scorer, pretty skilled for a guy his size - he played with titans. Though he was no Hakeem, he had great feet. He blocked shots. He was a passionate player and an all world talent from HS on up.

So funny to see people panic over the first half of a cupcake game when it's obvious that the coaching staff views it as an opportunity to get the bench minutes and see who can perform in game action.

These guys are playing better D than the starters. They're a bit disjointed on offense, but they're bringing some serious energy and attacking. Loooot of potential on that bench!

Loved that stretch from the bench. To me that was a signal to the starters, play hard or get replaced. A lot of effort that last 4 minutes.

Coach Howard is struggling. He's still having growing pains as a coach, and he seemingly knows this. These lineups are his attempt at trying to figure this out. I understand. But, uhh, Coach, maybe the lineup of all bench players is not for the best. Most good coaches try to rotate the bench in with the starters.

It’s really sad to say but this team is just plain bad…on pace for the second straight blowout by an average team in a row. I might not need my YouTube Tv subscription until the tournament after all ☹️
