Michigan Podcast With a Funny/Sarcastic Penn State Preview

Submitted by Caesar on October 20th, 2017 at 8:37 AM

Probably inundated with a bunch of negative fan feedback, this guy at the Michigan Podcast deadpans an entire 30 minute Penn State Preview. (Youtube link)

My favorite quotation:

"We’ll be back after this break to discuss whether Michigan will even show up the game..and we’re back. You’re right Steve, not much of break, but after 2 seconds I realized Penn St is unbeatable."

and decided that I would rather listen to Brian and Ace do their Podcast. The other guy talks to much about the "storyline" and the history of former teams/matchups. I like how Brian and Ace know their shit about this team and basically anything that has to do with Michigan football.

Yeah I try to listen to other Michigan football podcasts and they're all just... too professional? Which to me sounds like polished bull shit.

I really like MGoBlog content because if we really suck at something they say "lol yeah we really suck at that", instead of a bunch of coach speak "struggling a bit" nonsense.

What did people do before MGoBlog man?

Sadly, there are many fans who still get a majority of their info from places like that. Since I (and probably many others here) know take for granted that Mgoblog is the best source of in depth analysis it's easy to forget that there are a ton of people outside the Mgoblog community that have a very... basic... understanding of this stuff. A buddy added me to a Michigan FB group that is huge and active, and there are even some parents of players and some former players in that group, but hoo boy are there a lot of idiots too.

I like listening to that podcast.  This week's was definately funny.  But I mostly listen to it because i have exhausted all other Michigan information outlets.

The production of his podcasts are solid for what they are, but I can't stand this guy. This episode in particular was unbearable. I get being sarcastic for a minute or so, but 30 minutes was a bad move. If he did it in a clever way, maybe I'd feel different. It simply wasn't funny, and I feel like an idiot for watching all of it.

I'm not sure why I feel so strongly about this. He just seems like the kind of Michigan fan that even I want to punch.
