Maybe the best commitment of NSD?

According to Chengelis's Twitter, Manny said he's coming back next year:

The Daily says so too:

After tonight's frustrating game, I have half a mind to let him go and have the team start over with Morris, Douglass, Novak and the others, However, I know that he's our best player, and probably our only chance of making the tournament next year. Hopefully he won't pull a Donovan Warren.

I wouldn't even joke about preferring to see Manny leave. As bad as we've played this season, let's not even consider how awful we might be next year without Manny, before Beilein's guys have had a chance to fully develop.

leave this year. Who do you really expect to step up next year? I'm excited for next year but I'm not expecting much. I honestly think his stock will drop even more than it already has. Unless he somehow makes HUGE strides that he didnt this year I don't think he is helping himself staying another year.

I think part of what Manny is missing this year is mature decision making and poise that comes with experience. With another year of experienced players around him, I am confident he can improve his draft stock.

I love Manny but lets see sophmore to junior year not much improvement what makes you think junior to senior will be much better? Manny needs help with alot his jumpshot looks horrible and driving the lane I dont even want to talk about he turns it over far to many times. I really don't think he does much in the NBA at this point. He should leave now and pray he rides the bench while improving dramatically. If he stays I really dont see it helping him. Next year the talent on the team is going to drop off for at least a year for the simple fact that no matter what Sims is gone.

You talk about how he isn't good enough, but then you think he should leave anyway? Huh?

All that really matters is being a first-round pick. Being a second-rounder is worthless (why the NBA Draft even has a second round, I've never understood) - you don't get any more guaranteed money than you would if you were an undrafted free agent. Manny is clearly not going to be a first-round pick, whereas he might possibly play his way up there next year. At shooting guard, teams aren't willing to be patient - they want you to be NBA-ready off the bat. He might be there a year from now, but isn't now.

I think if he could get on an NBA team and ride the pine for a year or so, would be better than coming back. In the NBA he would be practicing against good players. If he comes back who is going to push him? Once Sims leaves the inside is going to be pretty open. Next year the team will probably be pretty bad because we lose our inside game which Sims has pretty much carried us through the B10. Next year teams will be able to center on Harris. Harris can't carry the team.
