Malik "Top 10 ain't good enough for me" McDowell falls out of the first round
I'm sure many of you remember this quote:
"Top 10 ain’t good enough for me, I ain’t leaving if I’m (only) Top 10. If I’m not top three, I don’t leave."
Pride comes before the fall.

...Connor Cook gets a little bit more excited. He's just itching to use #draftedbeforemalikmcdowell in his Twitter feed.

This is exactly what she said in 2014:
"I want him to get a good education. Not that he can't get a good education at MSU. But he also wants to be a first-round pick after college. Nothing is guaranteed, but I don't think their defensive line coach has the background for that."
The last MSU defensive lineman drafted in the first round was Dimitrius Underwood in 1999.
The last MSU defensive lineman drafted in the first round who actually played a game for the team that drafted him was Bobby Wilson in 1991.
The one before that? Larry Bethea in 1978.
It's safe to say that MSU doesn't have a history of churning out top pro prospects on the defensive line. Mother knows best.
I don't think there's much doubt Malik would've been drafted yesterday if he'd been at Michigan.

Well, I'm sure he's happy now
since he went in the top 3 (of the 2nd round).
