Seems like a booster giving gifts to athletes beyond the scholarship that non-athletes do not have access to.  Isn't that sorta what extra benefits is all about?

FFS we are biggest whiniest group of fans ever. Lebron has an agreement with the University like we do with the Jordan brand, they get special shoes (cleats) that will never see the public, jackets, shirts, you name it with Lebrons logo on it, because he is an official sponsor of the team or something along those lines. If the beats headphones have his logo on it then it falls under this agreement. This is not a violation. why are we so fucking jealous all the time. We send kids on trips all over the world, staying in 5* hotels, get access to areas normal folks can't and we label it "educational" to circumvent the guidelines. ALL WE DO IS WHINE ABOUT ohio.

Who gives a shit!? Seriously?!? I don't care that players take online classes. My wife got her degree online (masters) and it isn't a cake walk, at all. they have so many guidelines in place to keep people from cheating that it would be EASIER to cheat in an ACTUAL class.  Everyone acts like they do it so they can practice more but the NCAA has strict guidelines to how much teams and individuals can practice and its the same for everyone. It's not like they are holding an extra practice that we aren't.   We find the LITTLEST thing and try to turn it into something that points to why we can't beat them and none of this is why.  The fact of the matter is we aren't getting as many studs and the ones we get we aren't developing to the level we need them to be. And save the "they are obviously paying recruits"...sorry, i don't buy it.  Are there $100 handshakes/ absolutely but this idea that they have kids pulling in 10's of thousands of dollars is just not happening. Sorry, we just need to get better.

lol...people in glass houses throwing stones

Clearly this is absolutely legal under NCAA rules, so why the do people care?

Nothing is preventing Tom Brady, or any other celebrity fan it seems, from gifting the team with gifts...

Look, I get that he is one of the best all time, adored since childhood.  I'm not naive but I just don't see how someone can sign their name "King."  What a douche.
