Sorry- Is this where we are?…

Sorry- Is this where we are? we just won a Natty and people are jerking it to a guy who just got a 7th f'ing year? Which I might add a serious problem in college football.  Kids sticking around for 7 years...at some point someone has to say guys you gotta leave, you have 2 degrees and working on a third.  the cost benefit ratio on guys like this has to be super low. stupid low. It further reinforces what our program is...we are not out there being mentioned as a THE place to go for new recruits or high value transfer qbs.

ooh rah and appreciate the…

ooh rah and appreciate the kind words

I disagree that our whistleblower was from our main enemy though. Do I believe they helped in this mess? yes, absolutely but in the dark.  I have NO INSIDE SOURCES (might be the first time that's ever been typed on a message board ) but from all open source intel it would appear we have at least one whistle blower and possibly a mole.

I haven't posted on any of…

I haven't posted on any of this, hell on here in a hot minute.  But this stuff is right in my wheelhouse. First let me tell you my background is in counter intelligence. First in the Marine Corps (hence my name on here) and then worked for two different three letter entities before entering the private sector doing security for large corporations.

I view things thru the lens of probability and not certainty.  I think we all need to take a deep breath and see what else is dropped because thru a professional lens right now there are way too many low low probability pieces to this to make it to where its higher than 65-70%.  Right now by what is dropped it is sitting in the 15-20% area.

I am not going to break it down how I do but I will simply ask questions for us to consider, because if we want to nail these guys this TS guy is gonna have to provide WAY more than what he has. No journalist is going to report on this at this point because it's riddled with hearsay.

1. Catapult- Ok so we have some serious smoke with guys that went to work there that came out of the Ohio State Football program.  That seems like a solid link but by doing a simple search there is Michigan grads that work there as well. still not a door shut.  Why would two guys probably making less than $50-60k a year risk their entire livelihood for this? money. Ok I saw somewhere that he posted "sources confirmed" (what that means is I've heard this somewhere else, let me ask my source...source says oh yeah I've heard that...) that Day and two asst coaches are paying for stuff...How? whats the mechanism? It isn't electronic. Cash? ok sure, there will still be a trail. Won't be their personal money so where did it come from?  they speculated 5 figure...that's big money. way bigger than I'd expect.  I don't know why the rumor is they got Penn States catapult info and practice film floating around like everyone knows it...really? everyone? Until someone steps forward and says I worked at Ohio State and so and so at catapult gave me log in details...probability of this being true is 40% and I'm being nice.

2. PI firm hired- First, I really hate to say this but it's not illegal to do that and have guys hang around Ann Arbor and hopes to find someone willing to give them some dirt or find a disgruntled person.  Also, getting a coach ( a low level one at that) to give you some "dirt" isn't hard because they (like everyone) wants everyone to know they are more important than they might be.  So whether we can prove that the Days had ANY knowledge or involvement we are literally banging a spoon against a trash can and just looking like a scorned lover.  The only thing that appears to be obtained "illegally" is the spreadsheet.  First off how fucking dumb is CS for having an electronic copy. Something that nuclear is in a notebook, hand written and never out of my site.  I know there is some smoke about a hack back in August?  does anyone know if there was a forensic investigation to see where they went ? anything downloaded?  I highly doubt that anyone illegally "broke into" the system and then found it.  They would already have to know what they are looking for. I doubt (I hope) he didn't label a folder illegal shit folder. so there you go back to well if they did know then someone told them. Ok so it's a whistleblower. If not then it's someone inside the org who downloaded it onto a hard drive and hand it over. Again someone internal.  Look, I'm not trying to disparage anyone who is a PI but guys, this isn't the movies. 99.9% of these guys do not have the skill set to hack a computer system and someone that can is going to charge you a lot as a consultant because THEY are risking the most Jail time so I give the probability of Ryan Day or anyone related to him being involved with the PI stuff about 10% at best. Sorry guys but even if he hired one, it's not a punishable offense.

3. Yood and Dad connected to Baker- That is a serious jump in my eyes. Is there ANY social media with them together? at all?  like other than both are powerful men in the NE but beyond that again it is "alleged" they are close...follow me, I'm Charlie Baker...NCAA president, for me to take the word of someone who dumps me info to then IMMEDIATELY call the B1G I better know this man REALLY REALLY well or you are now going out on the limb on your OWN reputation...So someone you trust THAT MUCH to take their word, there will be a publicly found pic or connection because right now I think it's 5% probability. Yood most likely after being fired and questioned by police for both the solicitation and that guy being shot was upset about all of it and reached out to a PI group and said I have a ton of info for you and they took it the NCAA.

4. I'm not saying none of it is at all not true but I'd caution all of us from getting too excited because this is just a guy running around the house with a torch waving it at the house and threatening hoping everyone runs out.  If you want to burn the house down? you bring multiple torches and legit set that phucker on fire with no warning and burn it to the damn ground. Our back is against the wall by all accounts, we have no winning hand, wtf are we doing teasing these guys, poking the bear. Our side is absolutely embarrassing when it comes to subterfuge. our regents saying crap on twitter, there is multiple "accounts" on twitter saying the same info as each other to add validity...we've seen this before guys. 2016 a dossier was purposely leaked to a reporter to then get it in the open to then use it as "fact" for a FISA.  What they are doing here is about the same.  trying to take low probability points and get someone to print it to speak it into existence.  If we want this to go away or have the light off of us we need to stop trying to play poker and instead empty our magazine at anyone we have info on.

I truly want us to have a "binder" full of stuff to ruin these assholes but I'll settle for winning the game GOBLUE

EDIT- Forgot to put that they better fucking hope they have something real and substantial on Catapult that isn't just rumor and conjecture because you can bet your ass someone has seen this in their company and I'm sure their legal counsel will be looking at it. If they can PROVE these allegations are a complete lie, they will go after anyone who started it or said it to scare them or break them.  this is walking dangerously close to libelous and defamation.  I know they are trying to make the schools and coaches the villains but by linking personnel in the company like they are helping. better have some actual rock solid proof.

no. having been thru the…

no. having been thru the recruiting process with my son it is a VERY well known fact all coaches, especially head coaches, have people messaging on twitter, IG and sending emails on their behalf.  So Weiss "breaking in" to do this is not something that would warrant this level of police activity. It would be dealt in house and not a soul would know about it.

Searching his home for devices that he used that were UM property to see what he sent makes zero sense.  All they have to do is check the server and see the activity. even if deleted it will still be accessible via server.

I have zero clue what it could be but signing into JH's account to send recruit shit on his behalf is not it. at all.

unmarked cars outside a house and obtaining a search warrant means its serious.  Very serious.

I honestly don't trust ANYTHING coming out of the university at this point because they don't want this to effect recruiting at all.

pretty certain I am going to…

pretty certain I am going to hell for how hard I laughed at your reply

Raiola is Georgia bound. no…

Raiola is Georgia bound. no chance he ends up here.  zero, i mean maybe LESS than zero.  He is about to commit to Georgia.

There is something terribly…

There is something terribly wrong with the world we live in now.  Everything is a battle, nobody extends the hand or a shoulder for someone anymore.  We can all speculate as to what the drivers are in this day and age but at it's heart there is not enough compassion in this world.  One of my best friends sons attempted suicide last night ( before I know about Harry Millers post) and he is currently in ICU.  This young man has struggled with many demons over his life and he felt it was too big of a cross to bare anymore.  I don't really care what your spiritual background is or what you believe but I have spent the morning in prayer praying for my friends son and for her.  find time in the day to spend in prayer, meditation or reflection for the ones you love.  If you see or suspect something say something.  Good on Ryan Day and the Ohio State program for having a culture that a young man like Harry can feel the strength and courage to open up.

every thing that happened…

every thing that happened was a "reaction" to something.  Should Gard have touched him and stopped him? No but we don't know what Juwan said to him to get him to do that, Juwan had a mask on and could have said something to him that made him react.   It escalated quickly and from that point everyone is either trying to get it to stop or amp it up. none of us are privy to the words that were said by either side to get people to that flash point.  Regardless of what was said by either party, Juwan taking a swing at someone is completely unacceptable and I expect a rather lengthy penalty since we had the incident with Maryland and this isn't the "first offence". The season in no way has gone the way anyone expected and a lot of frustration was let out in that few minutes. It's not a good look for the University and honestly I don't care what happens to the Wisconsin coaches or players.  Juwan and the team represent us and that's it. Some perspective...like someone said in this thread or another, had this been state, the suckeyes or whoever, we would be screaming from the rafters that they should be fired.

Good Lord we do some mental…

Good Lord we do some mental gymnastics to make ourselves feel better sometimes.

what a douche. I'm sorry but…

what a douche. I'm sorry but Gattis has turned out to be an absolute dud in my eyes.  talks shit every year, pats himself on the back then vanishes when we do absolute shit all nothing.  This the same staff that put up the "what have you done to beat ohio today?" sign? or Red is not allowed in the facility ( of course only to have a recruit wearing red cleats the next day in the Big House...so Fucking  embarrassing at this point.

The PGA Tour does not pay…

The PGA Tour does not pay appearance fees. at all. He was not paid to play in Detroit. Not even Tiger gets appearance fees to play in PGA tour events. This is not conjecture, this is fact.

no offense but didn't…

no offense but didn't deserve is subjective...It's an NBA rule on the swing through not college... I would say that was being smart and KNOWING how to use the rules

the possibility of TB coming…

the possibility of TB coming to Ann Arbor for more than 3 days time is below 5% so the idea that he might be an OC here or HC here some day is honestly below 1%...hell below .0001%.  And Honestly I think Tom has a good relationship with us...not a great one.

hahahaha You are exactly why…

hahahaha You are exactly why so many fucking people laugh at our fan base. You are calling a coach out who has beat our ass every time he has played us ( pretty big stage) and has lost 2 games as head coach...two. gtfoh with losing on the big stage...at least they are on the fucking stage. we are outside pulling lint out of our pockets buying a ticket from the scalpers

never said the kid from WL…

never said the kid from WL is a slouch but you saying Cade will be better is just farcical.  Quinn is larger, stronger, better footwork, better mechanics, better pocket presence. I live in Texas and watched Cade play all but 2 games and saw all of Quinns games but the first game of the year.  Quinn will go farther.

they just had a kid commit…

they just had a kid commit to Texas but ok, your argument about them not being a P5 machine is not the same as saying they don't have highly rated recruits. that program literally puts kids in p5 schools every year.

It's nice to dream but there…

It's nice to dream but there is less than a 1% chance Cade even thinks about coming this far north.

does not send a lot of…

does not send a lot of players to P5 schools? did you really type that?  besides Brees you left out Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles and Texas QB Sam Ehlinger.  Westlake is a fucking P5 machine at a TON of positions.

no offense but this is a…

no offense but this is a really dumb comment.  I live in Texas and see these kids play all the time.  Quinn is in another zip code from the others. The only 2022 QB that might be close to Quinn is Maalik Murphy

Big High School Stadium? you…

Big High School Stadium? you've obviously never been to Texas where most of our high School stadiums sit around 10k+ literally haha

It wasn't and he missed his…

It wasn't and he missed his assignment.  sadly over on one of the ohio sites they have a loop of Mason getting blown up by one of their linebackers in practice.

the kids that come in June…

the kids that come in June are "officially" in the program at that point. I don't think he can just move to Ann Arbor and start using the facilities and working with coaches until he is officially a student or it would be receiving "benefits" and a violation.

I don't see this working, i…

I don't see this working, i live in Houston and BOB's ego won't be able to take being yelled at by Saban. I give it one year

to answer your question yes,…

to answer your question yes, it is Dudek's job to "qualify or vet" someone and make sure if there are any potential issues they are brought to the coaches or the recruits attention...everyone here saying quit laying blame are the same people that say we recruit fine here at UM and we get the studs...no, no we do not.

I love the world that we as…

I love the world that we as Michigan fans live in that we think JH is somehow in the same zip code let alone universe as Saban or that he is viewed in the coaching world like some kind of genius.  Saban is like going to Harvard or Wharton to get your MBA...Saban teaches you how to be a Head Coach and how to lead...On second thought maybe JH should head down for a year or two under Saban

You're right...but on what…

You're right...but on what planet do you live on that you think successful ( or at least on par with ours) coaches are going to want to come here to "learn"...Harbaugh is NOT considered one of the best coaches ever.

I'm in Texas and have seen…

I'm in Texas and have seen him play twice and to be honest he is so good it fucking hurts.  Andrew Luck wishes he was Quinn Ewers. This kid might be a once every 20+ years type.  Yesterday he was 26-27, 365 yards with 4 TDs AT THE HALF and this was in the Quarterfinals of the Texas state 6A Div 1 ( biggest division in football in Texas)...the dude is insane and before anyone tries...don't compare JJ for us coming in.  They really are't even close and that is RIGHT NOW, Quinn is a year behind...That kid is going to be a f'ing nightmare for us

ummmm Nobody is trying to…

ummmm Nobody is trying to convince you otherwise...He was more than likely given a shot or toradol like a lot of players have had and do have.  Your outrage is comical that they did something potentially "illegal".

I live in Texas and I can…

I live in Texas and I can absolutely tell you he did NOT recruit well at Texas.  He has 1 commit out of the top 25 ranked players in the state of Texas committed to the program for 2021 I believe ( could be '22) and just lost a perfect rated number 1 overall recruit, QB in the '22 class to ohio.  Not to mention Quinn Ewers is a lifelong Texas fan...He has NOT recruited well by Texas standards.

hahahahaha, you realize who…

hahahahaha, you realize who he coaches under right? FFS I am fairly certain going to Austin as the HC will lessen the pressure on him.

It's interesting where you…

It's interesting where you and the writer of that quote put the period after the word sore...where an ellipse or comma should be because he was adding characterization to the side of his body. He was not stating that them not telling him something was messed up. FFS

Maybe you should read every…

Maybe you should read every quote from Fields as well as he also TOLD his coach after his coach asked him what he wanted to do where he said " I don't really have a choice, I need to be out there..."

you realize that quote was…

you realize that quote was like after being there for 1 month?  Your entire take is why people continue to laugh at us.

couple of things

1. Fields…

couple of things

1. Fields first offer was from Harvard and had other Ivy league offers

2. Joe Burrow graduated and was at LSU to get his Masters degree so it's a bit different in terms of academic profile.

Not defending ohio or lsu but just saying what you said has no context to it that is misleading.

(No subject)

Come on Don...you are giving…

Come on Don...you are giving us too much credit and not being true to your own premise.

1997: Michigan/ Nebraska

I don't know who he really…

I don't know who he really is which in my mind should say something. People saying wtf cares they are all the same...tell that to ohio and Mickey Marotti...that dude is the heart and soul of their team and sets the tone for everything.  It's not like these guys just come up with a workout plan for you and then screams in your face...S&C has moved well beyond what we all grew up with.

I am not sure there is a…

I am not sure there is a coach I can't stand more than Dabo Swinney.  Don't get me wrong I can't stand Eddie Munster either but there is just something about Dabo that makes my skin crawl. Wasn't this the same guy who in September said it shouldn't matter how many games you play to get into the CFP? It would make sense if he would have ranked them between 5-7 but 11? come on man, How he doesn't realize this would be great motivation for any team just shows how arrogant he is. If they played 6 games and hadn't lost he would be screaming from the hills that they should be in. He is the new Karen of College football.

I love everyone who says "IU…

I love everyone who says "IU and NW arent that great"...have a logical take but when part of your supporting argument is diminishing two teams that would absolutely prison rape us it just shows a pettiness we have become known for.  Your other point that says there should be a minimum number of games is moot. The committee has already said there is no minimum.  there is no chance they leave ohio out.  none.  ND might be but not ohio. they are a HUGE revenue draw, huge

JFC we are the biggest group…

JFC we are the biggest group of whiney bitches.  Man the fuck up.  EVERY FUCKING TEAM IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL STEALS SIGNS. Don Brown is bad because HE IS FUCKING BAD. Seriously grow a pair of balls and man up

hmmmm you do realize Iowa is…

hmmmm you do realize Iowa is in Iowa City and not Ames right? which is where Iowa State is...but at this point that would sooo be a UM thing to do by flying into Ames then driving a couple hours to Iowa City to throw the reporters off of seeing who gets off the plane.  JH doing JH things...

Not sure

Not sure

Kyle Rowland reporting that in his Monday press conference that JH said we had a spirited practice yesterday (Sunday)

21 day is ONLY for players…

21 day is ONLY for players who test positive. Coaches are NOT held to that. Day is back and has been since last week sometime.

Really? Have you actually…

Really? Have you actually watched the Bills? I won't discount Diggs being there but Josh was a strong QB coming out of college and sometimes it takes a QB a couple of years to get his footing under him in the league.  Josh is making really good throws and has a much better presence in the pocket this year.  a close friend of mine played for the Bills and retired a couple of years ago and consistently said "when Josh figures out who he is that kid is going to be unstoppable".  We aren't talking about some no name that nobody heard of.

I know what you are implying…

I know what you are implying and while you think you are being clever...how does it explain us losing to the likes of Indiana, MSU, barely beating fucking Rutgers.  you were oooooh so close but logic was juuuust beyond your fingertips

No

No

Les Miles was never going to…

Les Miles was never going to be the coach here. ever. Not as long as Lloyd Carr is alive.  I will not divulge details but the story comes from someone extremely close to Carr and the program (former player for Bo). The whole "this is my damn team blah blah blah" was all for show. NOBODY from UM was ever authorized to go and talk to Les, it was a couple of boosters who jumped on a private jet and flew down to beg him to throw his hat in the ring. Les threw Carr under the bus on the recruiting trail after being given some sensitive "Michigan Man" info and Carr found out. He forever burned that bridge I was told. Had nothing to do with him not wanting to be controlled or anything like that. Les is a fucking snake in the grass who only looks out for himself. two close personal friends of mine played for him at LSU (both recruited there by Saban) and had literally nothing good to say about the man. Said nobody respected Les and didn't give two shits what he thought.
