Iowa vs Sparty

I really can't root for either team. Iowa looks pretty decent so far and MSU is not running away with it from the start like they like to do at home.

Just enjoy the ride of grumpy boys being grumpy boys at each other

Both are tied in the standings and have tough schedules left. If you HAVE to root for someone, I think you want Sparty tonight. MSU still has to go to Maryland and Penn State in their next two games and then has OSU at home to end the year

Iowa has home games against Penn State and Purdue and a road game at Illinois to end the year. We need both teams to drop at least one game and for Michigan to win out in order to tie with them in the standings

I, for one, was not high on MSU because I looked at their team this year and saw ZERO shooting. I thought what put them over last year was Goins able to pull out bigs and let Cassius work. Not to mention having McQuaid as the quintessential 3 and D guy was a huge piece. People point to Cassius as being the reason MSU was so good last year, and he's a great player, but MSU was merely average with him for 3 of the 4 years they've had him. The shooters they had last year was the key and I haven't been shocked to see them regress back to the patented "turnovers and GRIT" MSU style that Izzo reverts to when he doesn't have any real offensive players

Izzo gonna Izzo.  What a whiney little bitch.   Crying about touch fouls on Tillman at home.   He is so out of touch with reality.

btw, we definitely want Iowa to win.  Besides the fact that I hate MSU, it will be hard to catch Iowa but we can easily pass MSU in conf standings, national rankings and in Kenpom.

Fun game to play: watch the MSU bench ANYTIME an opposing player makes ANY jumpshot. It could be a wide open 3 that they can and all of the MSU players and assistants will throw up their hands in a "how could that possibly go in" gesture. They really act like the entire world conspires against them. The victim mentality is a case study in MSU athletics

i can't find it in my heart to root for sparty unless its a dire emergency.  that said, tillman's wife had their boy the other day and he's a good dude from all accounts, so congrats to him and the mrs.

I was irrationally angry when Winston made that banked, 65-foot shot.  It made me think of games from our collective past that I shan't mention.

However, I was pleased to see that not only didn't he get it off in time, but that they got the call right on the floor.

Damnit Iowa you really shit the bed there. Perfect opportunity for Michigan to pass MSU in the brackets. Based on blind resume MSU should be a full seed line behind Michigan but they get the typical sparty bump and and are ahead for now.
