How to watch game on replay?

Submitted by maineandblue on

I'm writing this post largely for selfish reasons, but I'm also confused as to why I can't figure out if/how I can watch the game on replay after it's over. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this predicament. I have to work during the game, and would love nothing more than to ignore my cell phone all day and watch it after work on Friday.

I live on the west coast and often am at work during MBB games so I really appreciate being able to watch games on my ESPN app or BTN2GO after they're done. I have logins from family, and don't have cable or DVR, so recording isn't an option. Unfortunately, I don't think CBS does this (for some reason), but I've been able to find the one CBS game I missed on youtube/mgovideo. I e-mailed the mgovideo person to see if the full game would be up afterwards but haven't gotten a response. Most games seem to be up within a few hours (technology and Michigan fandom!), but I don't know if CBS or March Madness (tm) would prevent youtube/mgovideo person from being able to post the game. I did a google search for "march madness replay" and got absolutely nothing useful. The March Madness and CBS Sports apps seem to only have highlights, and have spoilers everywhere on the main page.

Hopefully this isn't a useless post, because A) I think a number of people might be in a similar predicament, and B)/Meta Question: Why don't doesn't CBS/Turner/whatever make replays available?

I am in the exact same boat, west coast cord cutter with family logins who watches replays on espn and btn2go after avoiding social media/mgoblog for the day.

I've found in the past that cbs games are available on btn2go at midnight that night (eastern I think).  There's also a youtube channel called HAIL that gets them up within 24 hours.  There's also the march madness ncaa app.  In previous years you could watch that live free for 3 hours before needing a cable tv login and watch replays free forever..however they dont have a hide scores toggle like btn2go so it can be kinda hard to avoid the scores before watching.  Also, so far this year there are no replays available.  Hopefully that only applies to the first four, that would royally suck if they randomly got rid of that massive feature.

1. Gain access to the replay.

2. Keeping your eyelids open for the vast majority of time while the replay occurs, point your head and eyes in the general direction of the screen upon which the replay is playing.

Please Note: Occasional blinking is not only acceptable, but encouraged.

Speaking of watching the game, is there a way to watch it live online so I can watch it at work ( if I have Comcast at home)?  I went to the CBS Sports streaming site and it looks like it's only available for streaming if you have WOW or a few other cable services (like Buckeye... shudder).  Maybe I'm missing something though.  Any ideas?

You should be able to go to tv.xfinity.com and login.  From there you can watch any TV channel that you are subscribed to, shows from your DVR, or on demand.

Personally, my workplace blocks access to xfinity.com so I will be streaming games on my phone today.

Unfortunately no. If you go to a CBS sports broadcast on your xfinity app it will tell you that CBS does not allow streaming of its content. This is true for live TV content. In order to see it live you need to subscribe to the CBS app.

This should work:

For CBS games you can stream for free on a phone, tablet, or computer (no streaming devices AFAIK, so no Roku, etc. unless you have CBS All Access).  For non-CBS games you'll need a cable login.  I think there's a free grace period but IIRC it's only like three hours per day.

Ive got a question too. I recently sold my tv to buy my online girlfriend a bus ticket from Detroit, and my grandma broke her coccyx and is in the hospital so I don't have her AOL password. My dipshit brother also wants me to tow him into town on my bike right when the game starts, and then I have to work the rest of the day selling tupperware door to door with my uncle. Is there a way for me to watch the game?

ps, the time machine we bought online is a piece of crap, so that won't work either.
