Great season from the team...

That said, this game didn't really teach us anything new.

This team wasn't one that could pass its way to victory. If the game was going to be put on McNamara's shoulders, the team would be in trouble. McNamara was perfect for the THIS TEAM, this year, but he was tonight what he has been all year: game manager.

The offensive line was blown up all night, which didn't help at all. The game plan didn't seem all that creative. Seeing that innovative run play saved for the 2pt conversion kind of ground my gears.

This was an offense that struggled to various degrees through parts of the season when defenses dominated the line of scrimmage, a la Rutgers.

The receivers didn't often create much space tonight either and more than a few passes bounced off their hands in mildly contested situations.

Overall for the season, I came away feeling like this team is one great QB and at least 1 elite WR away from that next level offensively. Maybe that QB is already on the team...

To finally settle the debate between team Cade and team JJ... I think both were perhaps vindicated to some extent. Cade was what this team needed for this year, but isn't the QB that is going to lead a team to a national championship because of his pretty apparent ceiling. JJ has all the looks of a guy who has the ability to take this O to the next level. Consistency is the key.

Great season overall. I thought this team was going to be a .500 this year.

As much as I, and all of us, wanted to see a Michigan prevail, Georgia took Michigan to the woodshed. I spent all night thinking of the best gif to demonstrate what Georgia did to Michigan last night and this is, without a doubt, the most apropos gif to use to describe the beating we witnessed. My hats off to Georgia. They came to destroy and destroy they did. Now let's see them do that to Alabama.

Hats off to the squad! This shows that we need more athletes on both sides of the ball. We have some big bodied WRs coming in that will be needed. Hopefully Conerly signs because our OLine was getting bum rushed! Let’s beat Ohio again then come right back!!!〽️

I already miss Haskins hurdling fools. Or moving the pile forward. We went away from that, probably correctly, but all we got instead was Corum fumbling again. *Shrug* WELP.

The false starts on the OL were a ominous sign throughout. Majority of pass plays felt like check-downs, also a bad sign.

Because the Raiders of the lost ark plane scene & truck scene were on my ad break alternate channel at that point, I missed the Anthony play. It was garbage time, I guess.

Georgia was labelled a 'Generational Defense' all season....

Then Alabama happened. And people started to get ideas in their heads...biggest issue?

Michigan is not Alabama.

In the Bama game, you had an NFL QB dropping dimes to NFL WRs. Michigan could not get that level of precision or separation consistently enough for Georgia to alter their schemes...The Georgia offense added a few wrinkles to exploit Michigan's defense...Not sure if Michigan's offense a) tried doing that or; b) if Georgia even has weaknesses Michigan could exploit.

Getting into such a big hole put more pressure on the offense, and they were not up to the challenge unfortunately

Dean was ridiculously fast...like Devin Bush but bigger. Their DL really bullied the OLine. The idea of 'Illusion of pressure' mentioned somewhere in the blog, felt 100% true...It felt like Georgia was swarming the backfield, even if they weren't.

I bet that if we look at the roster of this starting defense in two years, there will be 7-8 guys starting in the NFL, not just on the two deep. Two or three are probably going to be elite NFL players.

So no, the offense game plan/play calling wasn't great...but the talent gap was the biggest issue.

Play this game 100 times and I bet that Georgia would win 80% of the games because they have a margin for error. Michigan had to be perfect to win last night.

Our OL  took this team farther than many ever believed. Last night they ran into a generationally talented 7 man front that was murderous. I said before the game it was riding on Cade and the OL and the we just didn't handle the best d line in college football.

Georgia is a great team. But we had an amazing year period. Its something to build upon.

It looked like Michigan's offense was made up of freshmen while Georgia had 11 5th year seniors. Our guys looked like young men playing against grown-ass adults. The size and speed difference was shocking.

I predict that if JJ wins the starting job next year, there will be many complaints about him on here (that's just what to the starting QB, even one who goes 11-1), but the biggest complaint will be that he doesn't throw the ball with touch. There were a number of passes from him that were just too hot to handle. That may be the biggest thing he needs to work on this offseason.

Minus 3 on turnovers to a good team is not going to win many games for you.  Not getting the ball out quickly against a good pass rush is a recipe for disaster.  Didn’t seem to be a good game plan, and didn’t seem to be any offensive adjustments other than turning things over to JJ during mop up time after Cade fumbled the ball (and was lucky to recover it).  GA was bigger, faster and stronger, but we still should have done more offensively.
