Westgate Las Vegas Superbook currently has Michigan listed as 17.5 favorites over MSU.

Curious to see how much it fluctuates depending what MSU does against Iowa next weekend. Michigan hasn't covered against Sparty since 2006. Lets change that and blow them out under the lights .

Fwiw, Marcus Ray, who's not known for heaping unwarranted praise on Michigan, said he'd take Michigan even with that spread. He pointed out that we beat Purdue by 18 despite trailing at halftime, and that msu is soft on both sides of the ball.

I can only imagine what Don Brown and the front seven are thinking right now as they look at film of the MSU offense.  They have to salivating with anticipation.

That said, 17.5 points is a big number to cover in a game like this one.  Dantonio is going to do everything he can to make sure they continue to keep their dignity in defeat.

Their starting LT is a former walk-on.  The only guy on the line with any experience is the center.  The remaining starters are all middling 3 stars who are playing their first year.  Maybe this line evolves into something competent, but it's looking like a train wreck for this season.  I would be shocked if our defensive front doesn't have a bit of a field day with them.

I know it's not typical for Michigan to blow this team out. Barring pick 6's or devastating injuries, I fully expect Michigan to control this game. 2 weeks to prepare for the 1st half. Crowd will be taken out of the game quickly. Superior coordinators to make adjustments at halftime. Superior talent. Monkey off their back last year. I think this year will be the blowout we were expecting last season. Where does MSU have any on field or coaching advantages?

Not enough time to read the room here, but is anyone else the least bit concerned? I mean, MSU isn't good, but I think they are probably better than Purdue, or at least slighlty more competent/pull things out of their ass whenever they play Michigan because of disrespket!!!!

Haven't realy faced a straight ahead running team yet (Florida's offense is just bad) and while their OL isn't great, it seemingly finds a way to grind out some yards when it shouldn't. Last year they came out and ran the ball pretty well against a very good DL. Surprised the shit out of me at the time.

Lewerke got way too much September Heisman talk from MSU this year, he's significantly better than TOC (then again, so am I and I haven't thrown a legitimate pass since high school 8 years ago) and he can at least throw the ball 35 yards. The receiviers aren't bad, and they are pretty big.

If the defense gives up a TD or possibly 2, and the offense has to actually throw the ball, I'm not worried about MSU's secondary so much as I'm just worried about bad throws. O'Korn looked good against Purdue, but I worry a team that can watch tape and prepare for him might make things harder.

If the OL was slightly better (especially at handling twists and stunts that MSU will throw at them) and the QB spot had a longer track record, I'd put this down as a 35-3 type blow out, but I get spooked when a loss could be more a product of poor play rather than good competition.

I have a feeling that Lewerke is going to get hurt and taken out of the game with as much running he has been doing this year. That shit won't fly against Don Brown and the Dudes.

I hope it's 49-0 or something like that. It will probably be closer, but I still see it being at least a two TD win. If the spread was 13.5 I'd bet on it.
