Coach "Clink" Appreciation Thread!
Love all the new additions to the staff, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
In his media availability this week Cornerbacks coach Steve Clinkscale mentioned they worked on "making more plays" to create turnovers.
It's refreshing to see them actually in position to make plays rather than staring at the back of receivers all game long, here's hoping they can make some "sudden change" happen down the stretch.

He really have to re-teach the cbs on how to play the position. They seem like they wasn't taught to make a play on the ball. So many dropped interceptions. What was Zordich teaching besides grabbing? The job is along way from being finished as we saw in the Nebraska game as they resorted back to grabbing.

Dropping a ball is not on the coaches.

This hurt me.

Ummm was Zordich a pretty good coach? Lewis, Long, Hill all seem like pretty good corners to me. I know Don Brown sucked. But I never considered Zordich the problem

The comments from Gray, Gemon, and Dax about last year have all been pretty bad. Having said that, it's hard to blame Zordich considering we didn't have a safeties coach. He had way too much on his plate. Good to know the secondary is watching film this year though.

My question has always been: how good would Lewis, Long, & Hill have been without Zordich?
They were pretty talented, highly rated athletes who all played the position coming in. It’s plausible that an average, or below average coach, would have seen similar results.

Sure. ??

Is this your "new tradition" starting an appreciation thread before every M game? :)
I would love to see a big jump by CBs. That would give me more confidence against OSU.

After what MSU did last year, I hope the Wolverine CBs are much improved against MSU.

He had excellent results coaching the secondary at Kentucky. At or near the top of the conference in picks over the last 3 years. And I liked his attitude in his recent interview at MgoBlue.com. He sounded determined and committed to keep pushing the DB's to play at a very high level. I know that's his job but it was refreshing to hear how serious he was to make it happen.
