Brennan Clay lists Michigan among his top 3
Scout.com lists Clay's teams of interest with the top 3 being rated as "high interest" and with each having scheduled official visit. Michigan is at the top along with Oregon and Oklahoma. He is scheduled for offical visit on 9/19/09. I like our chances with the power of the Forcier drawing him in. Here's the link... there's also a premium article to go along with it, but I'm too frugle to blow the dough.

We are the third chronologically of his official visits he has scheduled. I think this is a good thing. He said he would committ on the spot if it felt right and I don't think he would pass up a chance to see his boy Tate play in person so I don't think he would committ before a visit to AA.
Hopefully, he will become an M fan by then just by watching Tate play.
We're lucky we got Tate to help. Sucks he is considering Oregon though. There facilities then Michigans, yikes. Hopefully our practice facility will be done by then.
really ask for is a chance to give him our best sell and it looks like we are going to get that chance.
Wait, what? Half of your post didn't even make sense.
"We're lucky we got Tate to help. Sucks he is considering Oregon though. There facilities then Michigans, yikes. Hopefully our practice facility will be done by then."
I believe what he means is:
Having Tate to help recruit Clay will be a significant benefit. However, Oregon could be a real threat to Clay coming here. Oregon has great facilities especially in comparison to the current facilities Michigan has. Hopefully, the new practice facilities will be ready by the time Clay visits.
I do not know much about Oregon's facilities nor the state of ours.
Regardless, I hope Tate has enough influence to turn Clay blue.
I largely agree with your translation. However, I have a slightly different take. I can understand your conclusions, and they could indeed be correct. However, we must be mindful that there are many different dialects among the inerudite people. So many, in fact, that they sometimes do not even understand themselves.
Take, for example, the use of the word "then". In many cases, this word is interchanged with the word "than". To many of us, there is a very clear distinction. Not so among the inerudite people. However, there are rare, but documented, cases of them using the term correctly. As such, it becomes incredibly important to take into account the context surrounding the writing.
This brings us to our current situation. The phrase "There facilities then Michigans, yikes" is in response to a comment about Michigan's order among Mr. Clay's visits. I submit for your consideration that the use of "then" (as meaning the next in a series of events) is correct. This changes the translation to: "First Mr. Clay sees Oregon's facilities, then Michigan's. My goodness!" with obvious undertones about the impressiveness of Oregon's facilities vis-a-vis Michigan's.
In any case, I have faith that Mr. Clay will be impressed by Michigan as a whole, and not just the shiny objects that are Oregon's facilities. Then again, it's been a while since I've been a 17 year old kid, so who knows what they like.
I think confusion arises from the use of there instead of their
their is they're problem.
Oregons practice facilities are like a resort. It's ridiculous. I wanna go on vacation there.
Stephen Ross was as giving to our athletic department as he was to the university. We would have our own version of Phil Knight and our facilities would be just as stellar as Oregon's.
Even if Oregon has better facilities(ours are currently being upgraded) they only seat around 57,000. IMHO recruits would prefer to play in a stadium that seats almost twice that. Also, the winged helmet against some of the UGLIEST uniforms in the country. Finally, academically there is no comparison between the two schools. With Tate already in the fold I like our chances.
I am a complete losers and am "friends" with Tate's public personal Facebook page (watching Michigan fans respond to Tate's status updates and preach about acting more like a "Michigan Man" is unintentional comedy, and ironic sadness, at the same time).
About a week ago, Brennan and Tate had a Facebook conversation where Tate begged Brennan to come to AA. Brennan said he very well might and that's he in town on 9/17 and he hopes everything goes well.
So, let's hope we beat Eastern by 50 and Brennan commits on 9/21.
UGLIEST uniforms? I am going to have to agree to disagree. Besides our awesome helmets, I think Oregon has the COOLEST uniforms. They have 4 different helmets!
You can enter Oregon as a Freshman and leave after 4 years with never wearing the same jersey combination (helmet, jersey, pants). That is ridiculous...
I wonder if the order of visits listed for Clay is correct? According to the list Clay will visit Oregon on 9/5, but Oregon will be playing Boise State in Boise on 9/3 (Thursday evening). This would mean that he will not get to see Oregon in a game day environment which would be good news for UM.
I dont know if you guys have seen the Dennis Dixon video special giving a tour of the oregon facilities. They are absolutely amazing.

I agree, their facilities are amazing. And to the poster above, the jersys helped land Oregon 4 star RB LeGarrette Blount who scored the winning TD at Purdue (I believe.)
I am posting right now just so I don't have 13 points.
13 is unlucky.
potato salad.
Man I hope we get this kid.
