Anyone else going to Harbaugh's camp tomorrow in MI?

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Usually Sound Mind Sound Body is in Detroit, but I about fainted when I found out it's right near me at Macomb Dakota HS.

Harbaugh & staff will be working the camp.

It's the final stop on the Summer Swarm Tour as they are in Fresno today.

Anyone else going? What to expect from this camp? I know there was a poster on here who got to meet Harbaugh at the Grand Prairie camp. That's mainly why I'm going so I can get a chance to meet him.

I would go if I could, but I don't live in the area.  I'm jeleaous of you guys that can.  If you have the chance to do it, you should definitely go.

Can anyone just walk right into a SMSB camp?  I wouldn't think that all the camps are run the same way just because Harbaugh is the guest headliner.

I'm not an elite football player, so no.

Remember the 3 donts, and 1 do though:
1. Don't mention the super guides
2. Don't mention the fact that you only wear Adidas items.
3. Don't hug him unless it's his idea.
4. Do have a fun time, and come back with stories.

What is my evaluation? Do you think I an sane?  sane? sane? sane? sane?  t will be interesting to surf several years from now.

Ned thinks that it is a lot of fun to shout.

The science teachers think that it isn't possible to pray.

Fighting is bad.

It won't be a lot of fun to write on the street before long.

None of the camps have been close enough for me to go. I'm disappointed he didn't want to set up a camp just for Xavier Kelly. His high school is really close to my home.

Yes I went to HS in a nearby district and when I was there Chippewa Valley had just been built - it was like a shopping mall to us (our school was built decades ago and looked like a prison).   So it was a fun road trip for any away games for sports.  Then they outdid themselves with Dakota I would estimate a decade later.

and it was a great time. The 2,000 kids was a bit overwhelming, but the organizers did a great job setting everything up. It was kind of like a fair-type atmosphere.

I live less than 10 miles from Dakota and had been thinking about going but weather could be a big issue. Not sure what time the camp is scheduled but it hardly matters as the predictions for thunderstorms tomorrow range from a low of 46% at 9 AM to a high of 91% at 5:00. Rain doesn't bother me but I've had several too close encounters with lightning

Bring an umbrella. The on-field stuff begins at 10:30. Harbaugh's seminar is the main event of the camp. He's doing his own presentation as the grand finale after all the other coaches.

you seem like you mean well, but I sincerely hope this ends with a quote from Jay Harbaugh along the lines of "Yo, you're creeping everyone out dude."
