(3 of 5) What is the MGoCoach in you looking for on Saturday?

Submitted by Mr. Yost on

We've had some pretty good insight and answers, so I figured I'd continue this thread through the non-conference season. By that time, the team will be the team and we'll have a much better idea of what we're watching.

That said, game 1 has some 1st game jitters/mistakes...also we were missing a couple key players. Game 2 was a big time rivalry game in front of a record crowd. I think Game 3 should finally give us a solid look and Game 4 on the road should do the same. The non-conference schedule actually sets up nicely in preparing the team for the B1G season.

So, what are you looking for vs. Akron? What do you hope to see?

win the coin toss and elect to receive the kick. I want to see Butt score a touchdown. I want to see a pick six by Countess. I want to see a score by the kick return team.

I want to see the Oline pull and block correctly to get to the second level.

I want to see the Dline get serious pressure rushing 4.

I want to see both Tight Ends catching passes and blocking well.

I want to see WRs pancake blocking.

I want to see a deep threat emerge (I don't really think we need one to win, but it would be so sweet.)

No injuries.

I'd like to see the D-Line get pressure on the QB, something that wasn't done very well against the chickens. And I'd like to see the O-Line dominate so we can see a steady dose of Derrick Green at some point.

Paraphrasing here but I really want to see us crush our enemies, see them driven before us, and to hear the lamentation of their women.

That, and a RB rotation that looks good going forward would be nice.

in the 2 deep on the field asap. Defensively, three are only a few to "protect" but offensively we need Morris to spell Gardner once/if up the scores. Up three scores and Gardner, Fitz, Gallon and the tackles could sit and it'd be cool with me. On defense we sub so much anyway that I'd only like to see Countess sit if up three scores. Bolden, Pipkins and the general 2 (some 3) deep should see more snaps but the defense will be about the same due to rotation system. Chesson needs to play and get targeted a lot. Green needs to get 15 or so carries and show he can lower a shoulder, etc. Let Morris read a defense and make mistakes or pay well. Move Butt to Funchess role and get Hill in Butt's role as DF seemed a bit gimpy and only needs blocking work right now. Basically, get youth out there early and often. No need to get certain guys we cannot afford to lose hurt playing Akron. Dint overlook them but put them away early to allow the above.

And not to be a dick but by now most seeing posts with that kind of format should just assume it's a droid app user. We can't make paragraphs, spaces our even start posts but many use it. At this point, instead of snark can everyone on comps and iPhones just assume a person writing with no so spacing is on the droid app, ffs? lol. k tnx

The possible labeling of UM Offense as "Power Coast" offense, I like how its sounds. The author was saying the new trend started by JH at Stanford and now UM. So lots of "soul crushing" dominating drives on O and get the "rush four" on D.

Also lets gets some Old Jim Tressel to read some lines from his best sealing book "winners manual".

Akron is bad. Very bad. Even if Michigan plays poorly it'll still look like they're dominating.

I just want to stay injury free and I want Fitz to get 100+ yards rushing.. preferably on 2 carries and then he watches the rest of the game.
