Another poll on RR
November 28th, 2010 at 2:38 PM ^
Hope the results are worth all your work.
November 28th, 2010 at 2:44 PM ^
Yeah no problem! The previous polls were very worthwhile and I was bumped to the front page which was cool. It's just interesting for me to see what people are really thinking instead of just having people post every single thought in their heads and rip each other apart for it. I think that this is more efficient, clear, and far less annoying.

"Poll Daddy" too, but for entirely different reasons.

No offense, but no thank you...I'm just not interested in being on either side of the torches-and-pitchforks movement right now.
Dude, great avatar though. Can we get a transmogrifier for our defensive players?
November 28th, 2010 at 2:47 PM ^
Yeah, I understand. I left an "I'm not sure" selection on each question, but it's kind of pointless to answer that six times. I second the transmogrifier idea, I'll get Calvin right on turning every defensive player into BG, Woodley, Harris, Woodson, or Hall.

Good day, my friend!
November 28th, 2010 at 3:13 PM ^
I'd be interested to see if there's a change between now and, say, December 15th.
November 28th, 2010 at 3:19 PM ^
I agree. With a big loss to Ohio State still fresh in everyone's mind it seems too early to ask this and get a rational response.
November 28th, 2010 at 3:48 PM ^
You're probably right, but I took the first poll immediately after the Penn State loss. Unfortunately, I'm too impatient to wait a few days or weeks. Maybe I'll do this again, I don't know.

Wasn't it December 15th, 1989 Gary Moeller's arrest day for drinking? Kinda random selection of date. What else is going on this year on the 15th?
November 28th, 2010 at 3:30 PM ^
About halfway between now and the bowl game, nothing more.
November 28th, 2010 at 3:50 PM ^
the one that got Moeller fired. Bo was still the coach then.
November 28th, 2010 at 4:09 PM ^
I always thought Mo got a raw deal on that, especially with no prior history with alcohol. A classmate of mine who played under Bo said he was really stunned when he heard, and speculated that things likely got out of hand b/c Mo almost never drank and would not have known his own limits. Sad...

Mo got arrested in the spring of 1995.

on my calendar - it's a Wednesday - hump day

I remember just a few weeks ago, after we beat ILL in OT, a lot of posters were proclaiming that RichRod had turned the corner. Apparently that win over ILL was a milestone which would cure all problems. Sucks that the season ended as it did, now that ILL win is basically worfthless.
November 28th, 2010 at 3:30 PM ^
Had we not beaten Illinois, I don't think there would be much of a debate as to what decision Brandon will make.
November 28th, 2010 at 3:30 PM ^
The win vs. Illinois was not worthless, but obviously it carries no where near the value of beating tOSU. I hate to say it, but our John Cooper may be gone. I think Coach RR deserves two more years.
November 28th, 2010 at 3:32 PM ^
I guess that's what happens when 1/3 of opinions are based entirely on the talking points of radio hosts.
November 28th, 2010 at 3:34 PM ^
I wouldn't say worthless, I mean, Illinois isn't awful this year. RR will turn the corner, or at least I hope. This time next year, I think we'll be laughing at the thought of firing him.
November 28th, 2010 at 4:03 PM ^
there is always something positive to take out of a win. In this case, O looking great against a ranked D, backup QB playing well, critical drive to tie, offensive execution in OT.

However, I never understood how anyone could think that the D had turned a corner after giving 45 in regulation and then 3 of the easiest TDs you ever saw in OT.
November 28th, 2010 at 5:47 PM ^
Not worthless. It was an exciting win at home and made us bowl eligible

right, nothing happens when i hit "finish survey".

Sorry, there are several problems with the host, and I don't know why this isn't working.

I'm curious what people think if we win the bowl game, considering how many people thought he saved his job after Illinois. Are many of the MUST FIRE NOW people gonna be all HURRAY RODRIGUEZ! if we go 8-5 with a bowl win?
November 28th, 2010 at 4:44 PM ^
Thanks for doing this. It'll be interesting the what the community has to say about our coaches
