Razzle Dazzle in the last 2 games

Bowl eligibility.  Check.

Winning record. Check.

Now that Coach Rod is looking like he has shown tangible progress, I expect (more like hope) to see more razzle dazzle from the offense.  He has said in previous interviews that he wants his offense to execute the basic plays well before adding new wrinkles.  There is no better time than now since (1) opponents have 10 games of film which they will think they know the tendencies, (2) Michigan will be underdogs in both remaining games, and (3) not much to lose since Coach Rod has met most people expectations this season.

This offense is good enough not to depend on trick plays to score.  The variety of "razzle dazzle" I'm referring to are other options and misdirection, like the reverse to Grady seen against Purdue.  Here is a wrinkle from Coach Rod's offense we have yet to see this season:

I still wonder if RR is open to running the triple option on the backside.  He would do this with Reynaud and Slaton or Slaton/Schmitt out of a 2 back set.  It's really not as good of a counter to the scrape as an H back blocking across.  IIRC we tried it last year against Purdue, Tate screwed up the read or pitch and haven't run it since.

But I want to continue seeing things like the WR block at 0:37 that breaks Reynaud free into some open space. I like that. It gives me warm feelings to see our receivers do it every week.

I have sorta become spoiled watching Michigan's recievers block.  Now, when I watch HS highlights/recruiting videos, the lack of downfield blocking has become a source of amusement to me.  Usually, because they are highlight tapes, it doesn't matter because the guy with the ball is the best player on the field and doesn't need the help, but I still see plays where the recievers do nothing after a teammate catches the ball and wonder why they weren't coached better.

Triple option against OSU, please.

Navy made OSU's normally dominant defense look silly last season running the triple option. I would love to see UM run some triple option with Hopkins in the fullback role and one of Shaw/Toussaint/Smith as the potential pitch recipient.

I would just be happy seeing more plays out of the 2 back set and the return of the I-formation with Hopkins as the power back instead of Vincent Smith.

That and definitely the abandonment of using three down linemen on defense against Wisconsin and Ohio State. (This would be a very very bad idea)

I have also been wondering if we will unleash the playbook and hold nothing back against a top 10 team late in the season.  I wonder if RR will go for broke and show his hand vs Wisc. or wait for "The Game"

In the grand scheme of this season, Michigan has absolutely nothing to lose in the next two games and everything to gain.  RichRod would only do himself and the team a favor by coming out and playing aggresive like there is nothing to lose.  If he pulls out 1 or (by some miracle) 2 wins, that would help this team greatly in so many areas.

And this goes not only for offense, but the defense too.  Blitz a ton, play the DBs close to stop the short hitches that the QB will need in those situations, and confuse their O with lots of new packages.  As long as Mich isn't playing catch-up, shootouts have favored Michigan.
