Ohio State DT Dre'Mont Jones to declare for draft (and play in bowl game)

Not that big of a surprise considering Dre'Mont Jones almost declared last year before deciding to return for his redshirt junior season. Jones is currently projected as a late 1st rounder/early 2nd rounder.

I'm grateful for any move that gives us a better chance in The Game next year.

Ohio State defensive tackle Dre’Mont Jones confirms that he will declare for the 2019 NFL draft, but is planning to play in the Rose Bowl.

Worst: A Wasted Column

I try not to write these columns prematurely; I'm weirdly superstitious about such things, and I am always scared that if I start to assume the future, I'll have upset the Karma gods. And yet, I couldn't help but feel like the perfect coda to this year would be Michigan, the better team through 11 weeks of the season, beating a disjointed Ohio State, coming off a shoulda-been OT loss to Maryland, on the road.

(Almost) 50 Years of The Game (Since Bo/Woody): Best Games, Upsets, And Other Fun Facts

The modern era of The Game really began in 1969, when the 7-2 U of M Wolverines upset the #1 team in the country, the "unbeatable" Ohio State Buckeyes. This year will mark the 50th game since then, so I thought it'd be worth looking at some statistics around The Game over this incredible time period.

Specifically, I collected AP rankings and records the week before the game, so as to answer: how often does an upset occur? Does the better team usually win? Some answers emerged, as well as some fun facts.

So, a chart? Chart:

The Bucknuts have home field advantage this year in Columbus.  Columbus, not surprisingly, is one of the most miserable places to live in the USA.

Bucknuts affectionately refer to their stadium as The Shoe...everyone else calls it The Toilet.  Lore has it this facility is a converted penitentiary but still...whoever designed this thing must done it as a joke and was surprised when it was actually built.

It's a generally accepted fact that OSU fans are the worst in the nation.

Their tradition is to show up to the stadium wearing used anal beads which leads to a foul funk hitting your nostrils during visits.

Urban Meyer on the sidelines

Urban Meyer's been rubbing his hair so often, you'd think he's auditioning for a shampoo or hair products ad. He doesn't like he's enjoying his immensely well-compensated dream job one bit.

(Perhaps better asked on Eleven Warriors or O-Zone, but don't really want to spend any time over there this week, but...) honestly, looks so miserable all the time on the sidelines, been wondering why doesn't he go orchestrate his evil empire from the press box on game days?
Serious question.
