I think Roundtree has shown he has earned it. Plus it was great knowing that Arnett was there to watch the game. Buy the snake oil!

well the offense has the go to beat Purdue and frankly the D did step up a couple times and make some stops but ala 60 points they obviously didnt step up too much :)

Don't delay, do it today. 131 years of football, and he owns that record. Do the right thing.

When Roundtree dropped some easy catches and caught a few td passes, I was thinking of what Buddy Ryan said about Chris Carter. All he does is catch td passes!
Roy came through for us the rest of the game.
GO ROY!

Roundtree was big today, but Hemingway came in the Clutch.. That tipped pass in OT, then the catch for the 2 pt conversion.. All the WR stepped up fucking big today i dont give a shit whos number 1.. They all deserved it today..
Stonum had the big catch to tie the game with a minute left.. Awesome..

What a awesome performance. He was such a steal for RR and the Michigan Faithful. Give the number # 1 to Roy!!

And I even did a ctrl+f to make sure I wasn't re-stating what somebody already said ,
He is such a great down field blocker! I feel like on one out of every three highlight reel plays there's Roy springing it with a great block in the secondary. Blocking receivers turn 8 yard plays into 80 yard plays.
That's something that's been stressed in the past as a quality of a #1 receiver at michigan, not just able to make the great catch but to be a hard worker and a great blocker.

You kow who impresses me with downfield blocking and just general giving it all was Odoms, granted he isnt the flashest but kid makes the hard catch and just gives his all, and hes pretty damn small before he went down you could see him maintaining blocks down feild. I know he wont ever wear the 1 but I feel the kid needed some love since were talking about blocking down feild and tough catches...didnt see the post below before i posted this went to walk the dogs.

Maybe future players will be vying to wear the #12 jersey.

After his second 70+ yd catch I spent the rest of the game annoying my wife with his stats for the day. Go ahead and give him the jersey coach.

Hilarious how the coaching staff was thinking the same thing we were when roundtree caught that first pass: "Don't get caught from behind, Roy, don't get caught from behind!"

That way they're all happy and the defenses will get super confizzled

along with the refs a la the play were Vlad and Avery were on the field at the same time and it took the officials 5 minutes to figure out what the penalty was

but honestly, in the past 3 games Roundtree has had a few drops that should have been easily caught. "#1" doesn't drop those balls. I think he is on his way, but not there yet. Definitely wait until he is an upperclassmen.
November 6th, 2010 at 6:06 PM ^
For all those people saying he dropped a couple, do you remember Braylon? Nothing against the guy, but I'm pretty sure he was known for dropping easy passes. I'm not saying anyone deserves the #1 jersey, but at least remember as good as BE was he dropped more than enough easy passes. Also, if your one of those people that keep putting stipulations on things, like the only reason it happened is because of the offense your going to be in for a looong terrible horrible next few years. Records will/have been broken, and I'll smile at each one.

I completely agree with Roundtree deserving the #1 jersey after this performance. But don't forget, Hemingway had a huge game too with 104 receiving yards and 2 td's. Roy doubled his yards but Junior's effort on his first TD was truly remarkable to see. Both are great receivers.
Go blue.

that Tay is out with a broken (foot?) . . . and he's no slouch either, receiving OR blocking.
I would have no problem if RR decides to wait til next spring to decide, depending on who "out-Denard's whom".

Over the past year it has been great to see Stonum, Junior, and Roundtree all improve dramatically. Can't wait to see our offense improve next year with a majority of our starters returning.

we only lose Schilling on offense next year..thats it =D..and GAIN DEE HART! Woot!
