TomVH: Coaches Visiting DeAnthony Arnett ***More****
Just got a phone call from DeAnthony Arnett's brother; Michigan coaches will be at DeAnthony's game on Saturday. I believe it will be Fred Jackson, but not positive.
***Rod Smith was also at Dr. Phillips yesterday, and a few of the coaches will be out to see DT Kevin McReynolds tomorrow.

Who's Got The Bomb Ass D?

Just further proof that RR does, in fact, care deeply about the D!

Michigan football brought to you by the letter D.

But to win championships, the team needs some De-fense.

since we have no D at all.

Good to hear he maybe coming around. Has anyone heard anything on whether Tim Jernigan liked his visit to UM? I need this information so I can sleep tonight.

Sam Webb spoke about him breifly in the Recruiting Roundup. Apparently the visit went well; Michigan is a legitimate contender. More to come .

Thank you. Everyday I come home from work I keep hoping I might hear something about him. Now I can finally get some sleep.

I heard that Jernigan enjoyed his visit. He seems like he is genuinely open to all schools that he is interested in.

Its going to be a long and crazy couple of months until signing day!!! Going to be plenty of sleepless nights for this coaching staff!!!

Call me Debbie Downer but my realistic expectations on DA comin to Michigan based on 0 information is slim to none.

How does one form realistic expectations based on 0 information?

Is there any chance Arnett could be a DB instead of WR or SR?
October 21st, 2010 at 6:28 PM ^
You're right, that is a stupid question.
October 21st, 2010 at 5:43 PM ^
but like every other M fan i have to seriously question his choice on offensive recruiting focus as opposed to trying to bring in some big time D prospects! Love to see HaHa come blue.

Do you honestly think our coaches are recruiting high quality players on offense instead of defense, or do you think maybe they're recruiting high quality players on offense and defense?
We only have about 10 spots to fill. Some will be defense, some will be offense, but it's not like our coaches are spreading themselves over 100 recruits, there are really about 20-30 guys we're actively going after. I think our staff has time to talk to one of the highest rated kids in our own state, and the highest rated kid without a verbal commit.

About the WRs that will all be leaving come 2011. This is definitely something to consider. We actually have a lot of defensive players that are just inexperienced at this point. Not saying we don't need to focus on good def. recruits, but you do need balance.

Anything to read into the DP visit? New offers or just checking in because it's a bye week?
October 21st, 2010 at 6:00 PM ^
Checking in, no new offers yet. The coaches are calling a few tonight from Dr. P though, too.

Thank you sir, and here's a point for the trouble.

Does it actually mean anything that the coaches will be there? Didn't Arnett eliminate us a while ago?
